Where to Find Your Eternal Confidence
Watching my childhood videos, I see a 4-year old version of myself full of intrinsic confidence. A child who was cheeky, singing, dancing, laughing, who was immensely embodied and present, and a true free spirit. Although, it didn’t take long for my sensitive, empathic, and daydreaming fundamental aspects to be rejected by our societal culture and schooling through conditioning and programming. I became the shy youth, the introverted, the misunderstood who did not fit into the norm. Mirroring the behaviours of others around me to camouflage myself in the crowd. By adolescence I had built an impenetrable stoic barrier where my sexuality, intuitive nature, and creativity were completely suppressed. I was living a complete lie in my adulthood as a result, and some moments I wondered why I even existed, and what would happen if I just disappeared?
What is our biggest obstacle to discovering Eternal Confidence?
The answer is we are not aware of all of who we are. The sub-conscious mind is like an iceberg with the majority of it hiding unseen underneath the water. If conscious awareness is everything we already know, including everything we already know that we don’t know, then the sub-conscious mind is everything we don’t know that we don’t know. “Neuroscience has recognised that the subconscious controls 95 percent of our lives.” Dr Bruce Lipton. The blue print for our sub-conscious mind programming is formed as early as conception up until around age 8, when the child becomes more aware of itself as its own identity.
What is Eternal Confidence?
Eternal Confidence is that which is innate within us. We are not talking about an externalised egoic confidence and pride, we have created from the mask of our societal and cultural conditioning, so we can fit in. A mask originating from our past core wounds and traumas, developed out of coping mechanisms and barriers to protect us. We are also not discussing a confidence built from following an external leader, celebrity, or spiritual figure, who we have idolised, worshiped, and surrendered our identity and discernment over to them in the process. Externalised confidence created from this space is fabricated on a house of cards, and weighs heavily on us, when our authentic and true-selves underneath this false personified/spiritual ego comes knocking at our door to reveal themselves to us.
Instead, Eternal Confidence, is the confidence connected to the essence of our Soul, to our Eternal Nature. It is nourished by the Spirit of our Eternal Flame. The meaning of Eternal of this Nature is the aspect within us with no beginning or end, and that lasts forever. Eternal Confidence does not come from an external power, it is power from deep within us, an Empowerment. It is living a life in harmony with our True-Selves. A life in complete alignment with our Passions, Gifts, Creativity, and Authentic Truth. Eternal Confidence is living your most authentic life where you can Thrive, for the reason that you have shed all the programming and aspects that were never really you in the first place.
Finding Eternal Confidence:
Looking back on my nearly 40-years life journey, the core theme that many of my challenges keep bringing me back to in this life is Confidence. Finding the Confidence to be who I really am and to speak my authentic truth. Having the Confidence to complete the cycle and walk myself back home to the boy I was in those childhood videos. Loads of Confidence was needed to follow our dream to relocate to the Tropics to live a more simple, humble, abundant, and regenerative life. It is the Heroic Journey to discover your Confidence, to courageously enter the dragon’s den to face your Demons, Shadows, and the Truth of who you really are, so you can finally emerge with your newfound Creative Genius and Passions, to share to the world. This calling is deep within us, forged from the recurring challenges, experiences, and growth throughout our lives. For us to be vulnerable to our hearts, so we can embody an authentic life that is truest to our nature.
