Bike Works is a non-profit Bike Shop in Seattle that provides affordable used bikes. Kids can earn a bike by completing 8 week after school program and learn how to repair bikes and service bikes. At the end of the course they’ve earned the oppotunity to pick out and repair their own bike. The course challenges kid’s to use their critical thinking skills as well as hands on training.

Bike Works also offers Adult classes to learn how to repair bikes. If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer, you can join a “Repair Party.” Bikes are removed from landfills to be fixed up and used again.
