Yesterday, on March 21st, the QLC holder video conference took place.

The entire conference ran for more than an hour and was full of new pieces of information and details, together with some insights from Chief Architect Allen Lee in Telegram.

In case someone doesn´t know about the basics of QLC, here is an easy overview.

Master Nodes and Staking — Live at Mainnet Day One!
A very interesting part of QLC from an investor´s point of view is the revenue system, e.g. running nodes and staking.

Yesterday Toya Zhang has released the first information about Staking, as also about the upcoming token swap. While the token swap will happen somewhere around September, Toya surprised all holders with the information that the main net inclusive the first two node systems will go live on March 31st, 2019. This means that it will be possible to run a node from day one of the main net release, which is an amazing surprise!

Technical details and preferences for nodes will be released later this month.

The 3 types of Nodes
Normal Nodes — Everyone can run such a node. (No minimum Stake).
Voters Nodes — Can also run by everyone but is quite more profitable with huger stakes (Also no minimum stake).
Miner Nodes — The biggest Node Type and the only Node type with a minimum stake (size not published yet, Node type will be released in June).

At the start of Mainnet, also the first two types of Nodes will be live and ready to stake. The financial benefit for it will start in June 2019, when the miner nodes will go live. This will also be the time when the QLC-GAS token (name not decided yet) will go live. This GAS token will be the reward for nodes and QLC holders.

Staked tokens are blocked for a minimum period of 3 months. The revenue system is more complex because of the dual consensus system, but the basic ROI of nodes seems to be “roughly” around 3% annually.

More Accurate numbers will be published later this month.

Hold and get rewarded
Next to running a master node, also only holding of QLC tokens will give a revenue on a regular basis to its holders, as soon as the GAS token is live. That means a specific amount of QLC-GAS tokens will be airdropped to QLC holders, regularly.

…and More

After the video conference, Allen Lee, Chief Architect of QLC, stayed for a moment in the official telegram to answer some questions. Almost like a Drive-By Allen has dropped surprising info, when a user asked about partnerships with Alibaba, Huawei or anything comparable, but look by your own.

Allen further explained that there is a collaboration with them about anti-fraud communication.

While it is completely unknown how far this info will affect QLC or the token, it is very good to see that QLC has a vast range of contacts and partners, which even more confirms the thought that this is literally an unknown gem with its ultimately low market capitalization of only about 9 Million USD, currently. While the global SMS billing and clearance system also will go live on March 31st, an instant demand increase seems to be very likely.

…and even More

The in-house developed router, formerly known as PPR or Pretty Private Router, gets a complete rebrand and is now called Confidant. The marketing for it starts by now, as the QLC team proactively looks for sale partners to ship the Confidant Station on a global scale. The Confidant will be purchasable in 3 different ways. With FIAT, with QLC or with FIAT and a discount for locking QLC for a specific time, which is a pretty cool idea. According to Toya Zhang, the first shipment of Confidant Stations should happen at the end of May 2019. For if there is any interest in reselling the Confidant Station by a reader, here is the contact address: Susan.zhou@qlink.mobi.

Summary
All in all this Conference was packed full of amazing information about QLC, the future and of course the tokens.

Staking and Node Systems in less than 9 days from now. Rewards in the form of a new GAS token from June 2019 on for Staking and for just holding QLC. The Mainnet is going live, together with the very first business running on it and creating demand for QLC tokens. The Hardware of QLC is ready to go.

My 2 Cents
It will be very interesting how long QLC will remain undiscovered in this low region with all the upcoming features and especially with the utilization.

Or in other words — Lean back and enjoy the show.

Cheers,
