1 | Pro-Jihadists Hate the West
Jihadism preaches perpetual hatred, killing, war, and martyrdom. It offers no compromises and no solutions.
The Infidel West does not quite get this yet, but for political Islam, the State of Israel is the amuse-bouche; the West is the entrée.
Liberal democracy is currently threatened from within by pro-jihad street and campus mobs who are using their freedom of speech to thwart targeted Others’ freedom of speech, freedom of movement, and freedom to fully access education.
Pro-jihad mobs in the West are copycatting the repressive policies of political Islam, whose governments (depending on the regime) narrowly limit citizens’ freedom of speech and movement, use violence to stifle dissent, and limit access to education.
The nonplussed West is clearly not equipped to adequately respond to Islamists’ overrunning their streets and campuses — is afraid even to name a problem that officials haven’t (yet) figured out how to solve!
The West had better figure it out quickly, though, because doing effectually zilch to impose serious consequences further emboldens hatred and violence.
2 | What’s in a Name?
Pro-PALESTINIAN?
Campus mobs will tell you that they are pro-Palestinian while cheering Hamas’ October 7th mass atrocities and abductions and braying from the river to the sea by all means necessary (slogans calling for the State of Israel’s violent destruction and the mass murder of Jews). The people participating in these mobs are not pro-Palestinian. They are pro-jihad.
Students for JUSTICE in Palestine?
SJP is explicitly pro-Hamas and pro-jihad. They positively crowed over Hamas’ gang rapes, tortures and mutilations, mass slaughter, and abductions of (mostly) Jewish Israelis. Their national website is cagey about their leadership, staffing, funding, and main location (somewhere on “occupied Turtle Island,” they say, implying that Canada and the USA are next in line for liberation by all means necessary). They speak Terrorist: puerile, bombastic, incendiary, ruthless. I’ll go out on a limb here and assume that a foreign government unfriendly to the West is backing them.
Jewish Voice for PEACE?
They call themselves anti-Zionist and pro-Palestinian whereas they, too, are pro-jihad.
Their morally confused website is peppered with Zion-bashers’ fave code words: apartheid, genocide, settler colonialism. On October 7th, they wrote: “Israeli apartheid and occupation — and United States complicity in that oppression — are the source of all this violence.”
Let’s put aside the question of how many JVP virtue-signalers are nominally Jewish versus how many have faked a Jewish identity for tactical reasons: to claim enhanced credibility when crusading for Israel’s destruction.
Perhaps the more salient point is that these self-aggrandizing loudmouths are not a credible or effectual voice for peace. Not to mention that given the intergenerational, internecine bloodletting among Palestinian factions, and the Muslim world’s violent Sunni-Shia divide, JVP are way in over their foolish heads!
But let’s say JVP were to change their tune and advocate for a peace inclusive of the State of Israel. Then their rallies would feature Israeli and Palestinian flagbearers marching side by side, symbolizing support for a Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel. And at campus rallies, they would chant Not in our name while displaying posters of the hostages and of raped Israelis their age (images of whose desecrated bodies exist because the rapists took pictures).
If JVP did that, of course, they would be goading best bud SJP, and other misleadingly named Western pro-jihad groups, to turn on them and target them for violence, too. JVP are cowards.
3 | Entitled Brats
Entitlement is a key attitude expressed by all bullies.
Clinical psychologist Dr. Craig Malkin names entitlement as one of what he calls pathological narcissism’s telltale triple E’s: exploitation, entitlement, and empathy impairment.
Entitlement to intimidate, threaten, and silence the object of their hatred is the attitude most evident on the part of the overprivileged brats currently exerting mob rule over American university campuses, calling for the State of Israel’s destruction, and hating on their Jewish classmates.
I would argue that these brats exhibit all three E’s: They feel entitled to exploit First Amendment free-speech rights by spewing hate speech at Jewish classmates — and most express impaired empathy (and the worst of them, sadistic levels of schadenfreude) re the horrific suffering of Hamas’ massacre victims.
And why wouldn’t they feel entitled to taunt and threaten Jewish classmates? American university presidents have twisted themselves into salted pretzels to avoid naming or denouncing the pro-Hamas sentiment roiling their campuses! Callousness by Ivy League presidents toward bullied Jewish students was on full display in the disgraceful televised performances of the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and UPenn before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce on December 5th.
4 | Hate Speech 101
The emboldened ideological purists currently exerting mob rule over Columbia University, for example, have now earned their Islamist bona fides by successfully (if temporarily) erecting a judenrein zone on campus that mirrors (in miniature) the judenrein Middle East desired by Israel-eliminationists.
Let’s be clear on what campus free speech isn’t according to federal civil rights law meant to protect students from discrimination and harassment targeting their race or nationality (whether the pertinent rule is Title VI [1964] or other is for legal professionals to say):
- By caving to faculty and students who have singled out Jewish students for escalating harassment, the Ivy League has not upheld campus free-speech rights — or if so, has selectively upheld a perverted version by permitting hate speech to mushroom while violating targets’ civil rights.
- UC Berkeley, too, isn’t a bastion of free speech if a violent, pro-jihad rabble opposed to free speech for anyone but themselves can force an event’s cancellation, silence the scheduled (Israeli) speaker, and compel the emergency evacuation of (Jewish) audience members via underground exits.
The pro-jihadists currently erecting judenrein tent cities on campuses across America — a tactical escalation that began at Columbia University last week and has since metastasized — by now have gone beyond pro-terrorist street theater! At their schools, campers are the de facto terrorists bullying targeted students into silence on campus or absence from campus.
HITLER YOUTH
The provocations at Columbia University — whose hapless president has responded by moving classes (partially) online — is a perfect example of an entitled, racist campus mob’s having pushed the free-speech envelope by, at first, openly celebrating gang rapes, murders, and abductions of (mostly) Israeli Jews.
Emboldened by learning that they could with impunity spew hate speech and threats at Jewish students, Columbia’s pro-jihadists have now graduated (!) to erecting an on-campus judenrein zone from which to further agitate for Israel’s destruction.
Columbia University student Sabrina, interviewed by The Times of Israel: “There are students wearing yellow vests with their keffiyehs, and if they see someone engaging with someone outside the encampment, they pull them away and say, ‘You’re not allowed to talk to them’. . . . It’s like the Hitler Youth. They say . . . ‘A Zionist has entered the camp.’”
Excuse me but COVID-19 isn’t currently running rampant on campus, is it? Hundreds of Iranian explosive-laden drones and cruise and ballistic missiles aren’t currently airborne and headed toward Manhattan, are they? So why would the university go into (partial) lockdown and move classes (partially) online instead of resolutely ridding campus of violent, racist rabble — thus providing an environment safe for in-person higher education and for respectful dialogue among people with dissenting points of view?
Columbia’s pro-jihadists opposed to free speech for anyone but themselves have won this skirmish.
COPYCATS
To President Minouche Shafik’s credit, in November, the University did suspend the Columbia chapters of JVP and SJP for “violating University policies” and using “threatening rhetoric and intimidation.”
JVP and SJP have come back swinging, and are among the three prominent Israel-eliminationist groups responsible for erecting the tent encampment on the Columbia campus last week. President Shafik authorized the NYPD to clear the camp, but like jack-in-the-box, up it sprang again this week. Columbia University’s pro-jihadists are daring her.
It’s worth noting that students responded to the NYPD’s presence by name-calling the officers KKK — a rich irony given that campers masked their faces (with keffiyehs, the costume de rigueur among wannabe jihadist stormtroopers in the West). And speaking of wannabes, when faculty and students at nearby NYU erected a copycat encampment and that school called in the NYPD, campers hurled rocks, chairs, and bottles (and of course expletives) at the cops.
5 | Consequences
Everybody knows — the Ivy League presidents who feigned ignorance when hauled before Congress on December 5th also know — that if verbal bullying and harassment are not met with immediate, significant consequences, hostile speech becomes violent action.
UC Berkeley student interviewed by Ynetnews, 26 February 2024: “They grabbed me by the neck and pushed me against the wall. A student shouted at me ‘dirty Jewess’ and spat at me. It was pure antisemitism.”
Pro-jihad faculty and students at elite American universities have spent the school year exploiting and perverting First Amendment free-speech rights in a bid to subvert American democracy from within — and on behalf of illiberal Islamist (theocratic-fascist) regime Iran and its terrorist proxies (Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis et al).
Hamas-loving faculty and students have by this point openly thrown down the gauntlet. Bring on the consequences!
- Faculty members indoctrinating students in Israel-eliminationist sentiments or singling out Jewish students for bullying, classroom humiliation, and threats should be fired.
- Students who harass Jewish classmates for their identity or political beliefs should be suspended — and in egregious circumstances, expelled.
- Foreign nationals in the United States on student visas who call for Death to America, or menace or assault Jewish classmates, should have their visas revoked and their overprivileged, ungrateful asses deported.
