The Pass the Baton project presents the exciting opportunity to unite three disparate worlds—contemporary art, web 3, and social justice—around a common purpose. We have intentionally created a space where these communities can learn from and amplify each other. Owning a Baton is a marker of our humanity and a symbol of our investment in equality and universal human rights. It’s also a token of membership in a community of thousands of collaborators, working together to generate resources for many millions of others. Collectively, the organizations this project supports directly serve over 50 million people, and their hard work on the street, in the classroom, or in the courtroom impacts the lives of countless more.
For some, the NFT market is an end in itself. For us, it is a mechanism on top of which we will create a new kind of economy centered on care and intersectional support. In addition to the meaning-value of holding a Baton, ownership comes with a high degree of tangible utility designed to continuously provide long-term value. Pass the Baton has assembled a coalition of supporters from the worlds of technology, art, and social justice, and each partner has contributed to the roadmap of value for our new community. Owning a Baton will open these worlds like never before. As the Batons level up from bronze to silver to gold, so do the perks, with the most intimate and exclusive benefits being conferred to Black Legacy Baton holders.

With a portfolio of award-winning experiential projects and critically-acclaimed museum exhibitions on continuous view over the next several years, Glenn Kaino Studio can provide unrivaled access points across a variety of studio projects for Baton holders that can be tailored to their unique tastes. Priority access to tickets, curator-led tours, private events, and intimate musical performances are among some of the many benefits holders can expect.
Glenn Kaino Studio’s experiential projects are frequently presented in partnership with Superblue, which supports the world’s most innovative artists to push the boundaries of what art can be — delivering powerful experiences meant to be shared. Baton holders can expect complimentary tickets, behind the scenes tours, and private viewing room access to Superblue Experiential Art Centers in Miami, London, and other forthcoming cities.
Baton holders will be warmly welcomed into Pace Galleries — in cities like New York, London, Hong Kong, Palo Alto, Geneva, and Seoul — and given access to the private viewing rooms, collection-building consultations with Pace Gallery curators, and tickets and behind-the-scenes access to Pace Live events, a multi-disciplinary platform for music, dance, film, performance, and new live-art commissions. Beyond the gallery walls, Baton holders will have the opportunity to secure VIP passes for the most important art fairs globally including Art Basel in Miami Beach or Hong Kong and the new Frieze Art Fair in Seoul. These avatar NFTs will memorialize your participation in one leg of this momentous relay and keep you connected to the Pass the Baton community.
