This article covers everything you need to know to join the Pomelo Season 5 NFT festivities. We’ll update it as events unfold, so you’ll always know what’s happening.

In order to start, adventurers will need lots of resources to achieve their ambitions. In Season 5, this means Artifacts.

Support the expansion of the Pomelo intergalactic adventure by buying some Artifacts. They will fuel great innovation and unlock ancient wisdom that is crucial for the Pomelian space adventure to reach the next level.

Participating in this NFT series directly helps all Pomelo builders who contribute public goods for the Antelope ecosystem. All profits go to the matching pool for the current Pomelo season.

Pomelo Grant Collectibles

The next step includes the Grant Collectibles of Season 4, which are based on the 20 most successful grants, according to matching amounts raised. Grant Collectibles are sold in packs, which include 3 collectible cards each. You’ll need to unpack them before you can see which ones you got and take the next step.

You’ll need at least 1 to craft your DNA Potion.

Crafting a DNA Potion

4x Artifacts + 1x Season 4 Grant Collectible = DNA Potion

Your DNA Potion allows you to claim Crew Members that you will need to staff up your Starships and travel for long distances into deep space. What kind of epic adventures may await you there? For more context, read the Pomelo Chronicles NFT Lore.

As you know, the Grant Collectibles are inspired by the previous season and highlight grants that attracted the most support from donors and received the most matching funds.

These Grant Collectibles are infused with the magic of quadratic funding and, when combined with Artifacts, allow us to extract a powerful serum called Pomelo DNA Potion. Once infused with this substance, our Pomelo space crew become energized and gain new capabilities, which they can leverage to reach new heights as a community!

Claiming Crew Members

Once you’ve crafted your DNA Potions, you can start the magical process of injecting your Crew Members. Each potion has a Mana value that shows you how many enhanced Crew Members a Potion can generate.

Freshly crafted DNA Potions have a Mana value of 6, whereas the upgraded DNA Potion+ has a Mana value of 11.

After you’ve crafted your Potion, you can immediately claim a new Crew Member. Then you must wait 24 hours to generate another one. Each time you claim a Crew Member, the timer resets and the process repeats until the Mana is depleted.

Now, what are these Crew Members?

Not every Crew Member you generate is the same. Your luck determines which Crew Member you’ll receive.

There are 5 Crew Member types, with different colours and distinct skills. Each type has 3 star levels, which are indicated by the stars under them and represent the ranks they can fulfill on a starship.

5 Stars = General
3 Stars = Commander
1 Star = Lieutenant

The higher the star level of your Crew Member (1, 3, or 5), the more useful it will be for crafting your Starships.

Building Starships

There are 3 different rarities for Ship Parts and Starships, and you need 5 Crew Members to craft one of these elements.

You can choose any combination of 5 Crew Members to craft an element, but the rarity of what you’ll receive is determined by the sum of the Crew Members’ star points and the colour purity in your recipe.

Ultra Rare Starship = 25 points (all the same colour)
Rare Ship Part = minimum 13 points (any colour)
Common Ship Part = minimum 5 points (any colour)

Ultra Rare Starships come as fully functional special-purpose starships for your space fleet.

Rare Starship Parts are crucial elements that are needed for making extended deep-space travel possible.

And last but not least, the 5 different Common Ship Parts, which are basic modules and interior units.

The flagship of the Pomelo space fleet can be crafted with a highly valuable recipe.

A full set of Commons and Rares can be crafted into the Universalis Citrus Maximus Ultima, which due to its versatile features, can navigate the galaxy far more independently and apart from the fleet.

Crafting Cryo Sleep Chambers

If you’ve read Chapter Six of the Pomelian Lore, it’s no secret that Cryo Sleep Chambers are of cosmic importance to continue our mission to explore the universe.

They’re a marvel of engineering, incorporating the latest advances in materials science, artificial intelligence, and medical technology.

Starship Commanders going on deep space missions are strongly urged to outfit their Starships with this crucial piece of equipment.

A Cryo Sleep Chamber can be crafted by combining all the Pomelo Season 5 Common Starship Parts, like a celestial jigsaw puzzle.
