We are now pleased to share with you the one of our most favorite interviews, which was conducted at AgriVest, and it was with none other than Ms. Courtney Cardin!

About Courtney

Courtney is an experienced senior lawyer with a demonstrated history of work in the public policy industry.

She is an inspirational individual and extremely sweet. She is skilled in many things such as:

  • Strategic negotiations
  • Proposal preparation
  • Internal investigations
  • White collar criminal defense
  • Logistics management

Courtney’s interests include advocacy, philanthropy, and business management. She spent much of her career working as an attorney and activist for progressive causes. She served as the Senior Counsel for the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee; Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary; and an attorney for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

In 2019, Courtney moved from Washington, DC to Melbourne, Australia to work for Small Giants — a social impact enterprise with a mission to lead the world towards empathy and the new economy. Courtney worked to develop impact measurement metrics for individuals investments, portfolio companies, and ventures, and advised aspiring impact investors on how to lead with empathy.

Prior to joining the Clinton campaign, Courtney worked for a large law firm in Washington, DC as a litigator and investigator and co-founded a firm-wide anti-human trafficking practice and the Dulles Justice Coalition, a network of more than 1,400 volunteer attorneys.

Courtney received a B.A. in International Studies and a B.A. in Jewish Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Courtney enjoys traveling, reading, and watching Jeopardy reruns and Blue Planet on Netflix.

She is now a managing partner in BC Global Partners. She works with start-ups, social enterprises, impact investors and venture capital funds to develop targeted impact investing and growth strategies. Courtney helps her clients identify new impact investment opportunities and design impact frameworks for measuring and maximizing environmental and social impact and financial returns across impact investment portfolios and business models. She builds strategic partnerships and alliances with community partners, government, and corporate stakeholders to design advocacy campaigns and corporate social responsibility programs promoting impact-focused policies.
