The Vice Presidency in Review
Top Moments with Vice President Biden
Vice President Biden has served our country over 46 years in public service. He was first elected to the New Castle City Council in 1970, served his home state as the Senator from Delaware for 36 years starting in 1973, and became the 47th Vice President of the United States in 2009.
Since his election as Vice President, he’s fought to raise the living standards of middle class Americans, reduce gun violence, address violence against women, and end cancer as we know it. He’s traveled over 1.2 million miles to more than 50 countries representing America abroad. To look back over these eight years in the White House, we put together a list of achievements he’s fought hard to win for the American people. Check them all out at WhiteHouse.gov/VP.
