Recapping the ZTX Genesis Mint
It has been just over three weeks since the ZTX Genesis Mint concluded. The community’s response to the mint and the enthusiasm surrounding the artwork has been nothing short of ecstatic. It’s been great to see so many Homes being shared on Twitter, and exciting to be the top-ranked collection by volume on OpenSea’s Arbitrum marketplace since the mint.

In this blog post, we’ll recap the mint and take a deeper look at the Home NFTs.
The Mint
ZTX’s Genesis Mint was a unique, two-phase journey. The private + public phase approach ensured Homes got into the hands of our community members and strategic partners while providing everyone with a seamless minting experience.
The private phase ran from August 8–25 on Helio, where minters could pre-mint Homes on Ethereum and receive the NFTs on Arbitrum. This phase gave early community members, strategic partners, and industry leaders the flexibility to mint in a more relaxed fashion.
On August 30th, the public phase kicked off on OpenSea’s Arbitrum platform. This phase had two stages: allowlist and non-allowlist. The allowlist stage gave community members, such as Genesis Citizens, the opportunity to mint before we opened it up to anyone.
Post Mint — Pre-Reveal, Reveal & Secondaries
Buyers received their #____-of-4000 NFT in their wallet after minting. The Home and trait reveal were scheduled for a few days after. Building upon our innovative approach, we dropped a pre-reveal key to all minters. These animated, 3D spinning keys to every minter’s soon-to-be metaverse Home were added to OpenSea and tradeable before the reveal happened.
The Home reveal took place on September 4th. Minters were able to view their one-of-a-kind Genesis Home. We were thrilled to see (and still see) so many community members share their mints on Twitter and their enthusiasm for the quality of detail put into every Home. Make sure to tag @ZTXofficial !
The excitement continued on secondary marketplaces after the reveal. The ZTX Genesis Collection:
- Is the Top-ranked collection by 30d volume on OpenSea Arbitrum.
- Has seen a rise in floor price from the initial public mint price of 0.06 ETH to 0.24 ETH at the time of writing.

Genesis Homes — ZTX History
Genesis Homes are the first NFT issued by ZTX. The 4,000 unique Homes are 3D-rendered works of art. They are also utility-packed, in-game assets that will grant holders access to one of the four Districts within ZTX — Financial, Fashion, Arts, and Games.
The ZTX Genesis Mint gave minters the opportunity to own a piece of ZTX history.
Upon Beta launch, you will be able to enter and customize your Home via decorator mode. We introduced this in Playtest #1 and will give you an even closer preview of what’s to come in the soon-to-be-announced Playtest #2.
The utility will continue to evolve as ZTX launches new features and expands gameplay. You’ll be able to invite friends over to socialize or show off your unique design. You’ll enjoy gameplay boosts and Genesis holder access to drops. You’ll be able to propose ideas for your District and vote on decisions that impact its treasury. More recently however was our announcement on Twitter Spaces that Genesis Home holders will receive a $ZTX airdrop.
Genesis Homes will always be special to our team and we hope the community feels the same. In addition to the awesome utility each one unlocks, we want to continuously give back to holders. To show you how much we mean that — we will be doing a series of holder snapshots over the next few months.
Home Traits
There are 9 trait categories for Genesis Homes:
background, size, billboard, district, door type, ground, secret room, slots, and special.
Each category will have multiple variations possible. In total there are 84 traits. Below you’ll find each trait category and the possible variations, along with how many Homes contain the trait. Variations are listed most common to rare.
Background (18)
Black, white, light grey, warm grey, blue, cyan, green, orange, pink, purple, red, violet, yellow, green gradient, purple gradient, light pink, galaxy, or aurora borealis.
Size (3)
1 story, 2 story, or 3 story.
Billboard (2)
Yes or none.
District (4)
Arts, fashion, financial, or games.
Door Type (10)
Simple, glass, ornate, neon, bronze, silver, golden, jade, iridescent, or diamond.
Ground (15)
Green grass, concrete, dirt, gravel, metal, ice, red grass, sand, wood, marble, green iridescent, purple iridescent, red iridescent, electrical, or space.
Special (10)
None, cat, dog, bird, monkey, raccoon, yeti, ghost, unicorn, bear, or bull.
Secret room (17)
None, atelier, dance club, game room, gym, library, movie theatre, vault, aquarium, catacomb, gothic, greenhouse, lab, sauna, speakeasy, vintage retro, or luxury
Slots(3)
One, two, or three slots.
Since the secret room is inside the house, and slots don’t have a visual trait — there are no graphics to represent these traits.
Filtering by Traits
On OpenSea, you can filter for Genesis Homes by traits. Simply click on one of the trait category drop-downs and select the trait you wish to filter for. It will also show you the number of Homes that contain that trait.
Final Words
Once again, we want to thank each and every one of you who participated in the Genesis Mint. While this is just the beginning of the ZTX NFT ecosystem, Genesis Homes are truly special and mark a milestone in our journey towards building the metaverse of tomorrow.
