Dear Adrealm Community,

Last week was full of news, both from inside as well as outside of Adrealm. We therefore decided to start “depicting the landscape” before adding details to our weekly picture — to proceed from the outside to the inside, from a wide view slowly moving towards a narrower point, from the world to Adrealm — in order to give you the best 5 min-read of your week. As every movement, decision, opinion is shaped by the surrounding environment, you may want to take a broader look at the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector before letting it change your path.

That’s why we added a new section “World Wide Hot-Spots (WWHS)” to share with you the most relevant news on blockchain and cryptocurrencies that will quench your thirst for knowledge.

As the sneak peak recently published reveals, our Adrealm + Xhance Press Conference on August 2, 2018 held at the Shanghai Ritz Carlton Hotel was a success → check our Events Section to discover more about it. Along with the ChinaJoy 2018 that was held in Shanghai last week, we would also like to remind you that the GamesCom will be held in the beautiful city of Köln in the west of Germany from August 21 till August 25. If you happen to be around, it is definitely worth seeing, both the fair and the city.

When it comes to sharing knowledge and opinions with our Community, the bigger it gets, the better it works (like Blockchains). That’s why we are now active and present on Youtube. As marketers predict, video content is the future of communication, we all must catch up.

Last but not least, our P&D updates.

So, get the ball rolling!

World Wide Hot Spots

Blockchains and cryptocurrencies do belong to the virtual web, nonetheless they still have a homeland; hence we would like to share with you some relevant news from all around the world.

  • Pump & Dump: The investigation started by the Wall Street Journal, covering a timeframe from May to July 2018, uncovered 175 manipulation schemes in cryptocurrency markets. (Wall Street Journal, paywall). What is Pump & Dump, you said? “Pump and dump” (P&D) is a form of securities fraud that involves artificially inflating the price of an owned stock through false and misleading positive statements, in order to sell the cheaply purchased stock at a higher price.” Cit. Wikipedia.

  • People’s Republic of China: The State Administration of Press, Publications, Radio, Film, and TV (SAPPRFT) is looking for three blockchain, cryptocurrency, IoT and Big data experts with overseas academic background, a master’s degree as well as strong political values to be based in Beijing. The SAPPRFT was created in 2013 to manage all audio, video and paper releases in China. “Draw conclusions yourself” cit. Schopenhauer (and if you are a Chinese speaker, you may want to read the job description).
  • South Korea: Bithumb, the most important exchange, officially re-enabled deposits and withdrawal on its platform for 10 cryptocurrencies on August, 4. The platform had in fact decided to disable its transaction capability due to a security breach in June. 25 cryptocurrencies are still off due to consumer risk concerns (Nasdaq).
  • West Virginia and Istanbul: While West Virginia is rolling up its sleeves to offer the first blockchain-based voting app in midterm elections, Turkey’s first blockchain institute, the Istanbul Blockchain and Innovation Center was inaugurated at Bahçeşehir University.

Events

  • As already announced in our last weekly update, the “Transparency to reshape the Future — Adrealm Public Chain Ecosystem and Xhance Product Launch Conference” was held at the prestigious Ritz Carlton Hotel in Shanghai on August 2, 2018.

Brian Xie, the founder of Adrealm, first explained the meaning of “transparency”. Taking the development of the history of the United States as well as the “Third Body Problem” as examples, he pointed out that the concept of “transparency” is fundamental for the successful development of business and social organizations. As he highlighted, since the birth of digital advertising, data advertising fraud, data leakage and digital advertising inefficiency represent the main problems that haven’t been solved yet, while the industry itself is based on blind investment in advertising optimization. Adrealm combines transparency with peer-to-peer transactions to overcome them by returning data ownership and control to developers, users, advertisers, i.e. the true owners of these data.

Following Brian Xie’s speech, Adrealm product director Chen Jianwei focused on its features, the main one named BIOC (Business Incentive-Oriented Consensus). Adrealm is the first company to create a PoVT (Proof of Valid Traffic) that is different from PoW (Proof of Work) and PoS (Proof of Equity) and to establish it as its consensus mechanism. In fact, valid traffic is the core element of digital advertising.

Chen Jianwei, Adrealm Product Director

Regarding security issues, Adrealm aims to set up a new dynamic balancing mechanism for mining, avoiding 51% of attacks and refusing to centralize the ecosystem. In addition, mechanisms other than consensus mechanisms such as traffic assessment, circular mining, stable currency systems, and under-chain networks also ensure Adrealm’s response to digital advertising and even other complex business systems.

Cai Yimin, Adrealm Global Business Executive

The last voice of the Adrealm team was Cai Yimin, Adrealm Global Business Executive. Cai Yimin highlighted the release of the world’s first decentralized advertising attribution and data analysis platform Xhance. By comparing the centralized traditional attribution platform, Xhance features high level of precision and security. If no third-party is expected to own developers and advertisers’ data, no data leakage can occur on this side.

At the end of the conference, eight guests from the scene jointly took the stage and announced that Adrealm’s public chain ecosystem and Xhance officially launched a global ecosystem cooperation.

  • ChinaJoy successfully took place from August 3 till August 5 in Shanghai. It comes without saying that we were present. UPLTV debuted at W5 Pavilion at the China Joy BTOB. On the evening of August 3rd, UPLTV teamed up with Adrealm, Avid.ly, Mobvista and Morketing to host the CJ after theme party“Tropical Flip out”.
  • The gamescom fair will be held in Cologne (Köln) from August 21 till August 25, 2018. It is one of the biggest events (along with ChinaJoy) in the gaming industry. Here you can find the schedule: #gamescom2018. If you’re in Europe, go and enjoy the fair, the city and the Deutsches Bier.
