Spring UK holidays 2019 — flights and prices
School holidays are known to be the most expensive time to travel, the flights and hotels are expensive driven by the high demand. We have analyzed what is the real impact on flights from UK during Easter school holidays in April 2019.
The dates of spring holidays slightly vary for England, Scotland, Wales and the Northern Ireland. The initial study focuses on England only assuming that the similar pattern will be repeated in other regions.
The date range for spring holidays in England is April 8–22. We checked several popular flights of Ryanair and easyJet and specifically the departures on Friday, April 12 which is one of the most convenient days to start a week-long Easter holiday trip.

Conclusions
We confirmed that the the flights from England during spring school holidays are more expensive than average, but because of the length of holidays the impact is not that significant (comparing to half-term holidays):
- The flights are 50–75% more expensive than yearly average
- The flights are 30–50% more expensive than April average
- Since the holidays are long, there are more options to find better deals
