Complaining. We’ve all done it. But does it really make us feel better? Studies say no, and that every time you complain you train your brain to keep finding fault with your environment. Sure, we may all feel like we need to get it all out there about our issues sometimes, especially around circumstances we can’t control. But once we start complaining we often find it hard to stop.
Most people have gotten that dreaded sales call during dinner, and understand the difference between warm and cold calling: The community member you just met at an event calling to introduce themselves will probably be a call you’ll return; the fundraising call you didn’t initiate? Probably not.
