Hello Akropolitans, Cryptomaniacs,

Today’s review is a little bit special because unfortunately for this round number 6, I couldn’t have the possibility to do the search part because I was busy. So I tried to do it again with the help of Yana, it was not easy because some data were not easily accessible but I hope it will be as complete as possible.

If you find anything wrong, feel free to tell me and I will edit the article. Thanks !

Topic of the day : Prime4Prime4 (Huobi prime, future Akropolis IEO)

First of all, allow me to give you some informations about what is coming for Akropolis soon concerning the IEO.

Huobi Prime, the platform for IEOs for Huobi Global exchange, will launch the future token of Akropolis, noted with the ticker AKRO, on July 16th at 20 p.m (GMT +8).

If you want to participate in this IEO, and I am sure you will, stay in touch with Huobi and Akropolis communication channels because they will provide informations on how to participate and additonnal bonuses.

So far, Huobi announced the possibility to earn Trading Quota if you answer a quizz correctly. You can win up to 2000 HT trading cap, and up to 4500 HT cap if you have more than 5000HT on your Huobi account before July 14th (+2500HT cap !). Access here.

On the other side, Akropolis will give Quest participants the possibility to win trading quota depending on your ranking in the Quest event which will end on July 13th, 11:59 p.m UTC. Access here.

For more informations about the IEO, feel free to come in the Akropolis official telegram group to ask questions to community admins.
And please be aware of scammers.

Let’s go back to the round. We started as usual with the task 1 and the quizz for 4 hours and a half starting at 8AM UTC.

The questions were the following :
1) Have you ever participated in the initial exchange offering ? What is your opinion about them ?
2) ICO vs IEO — What are your thoughts ? Which one is better and why ?

I personally have invested in few ICOs in 2017–2018, including Cindicator which is a partner of Akropolis through the symbiotic network.
I didn’t have the chance yet to participate in a IEO, but I will try with Akropolis.

All I can say about ICOs is that we went trough an era of all different kind of practices to raise funds.
In some cases, you couldn’t participate in ICOs because whales were sending transactions with bots and very high GAS fees to take over all the tokens that could be available for a token sale.
Some projects as well didn’t pay enough attention to legal aspect about their token, so the token appeared to be a security, which leaded to major issues in some countries like USA and the famous SEC.

But I also had a positive experience with Cindicator, which was the first to design a whitelist system and differents tiers caps, but unfortunately not many projects decided to follow the same workflow.

Today, following this ICO era, IEOs seem to be the new and only way for crypto projects to raise funds, most probably because of the bear market we recently experienced and all the frauds around ICOs.
It is very complicated to find a good exchange willing to launch an IEO on your project, especially without too much counterparts, and I am glad Akropolis succeed convincing Huobi global, a major world top exchange, to do an IEO.

Let’s move now on the most interesting part that I didn’t have the opportunity to do before with the speedrun tasks. We had first a puzzle to solve. You can find the questions and answers on this link.

Search Part

1st variant : I went from Huobi HQ location today on 9:55 UTC, my destination is on West, not North, what is the city on +1.10.
Hint : Can be seen from A17

2nd variant : I went from Huobi HQ location today on 9:40 UTC, my destination is on East, not North, what is the city on +1.17.
Hint : Can be seen from F21

In the following part, we will try to do the second variant.
Let’s start to see where Huobi HQ location is with a google search.

First sentence of Wikipedia article about Huobi tells us that :

Huobi (Chinese: 火币网; pinyin: Huǒbìwǎng) is a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange.

We could easily think that this riddle is talking about flights, so let’s see which is the airport of Singapore : Changi.
You can see the flights departures directly on Changi airport website : http://www.changiairport.com/

A mistake you could do is not put the time correctly for the departure. In the riddle the time was with UTC timezone, so we had to convert it to Singapore timezone to find which flight we were talking about.

In this variant, the flight was the AK1792, a flight of AirAsia from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu. You could find that using the specific time and the indications “on East, not North”.

And what does mean +1.17 then ?

+1.17 means : +1 hour and 17 minutes from departure time.

But how can you see countries/cities around an airplane at a specific time of a flight? Answer : FlightRadar24 website

You can search for the flight mentioned above AK1792. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ak1792#212ca132 and click for more info about the flight.

It is then possible to look at the route of a flight playing a record.

Click play on the right of a flight to play a record of the flight. Here we look at 6th of July, day of round 6.

The website will then give you 2 things : a map with the flight route and a playback toolbox.

Flight AK1792 from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu

A airplane cursor is available to move the plane along its route at a specific time. The goal was then to add “1 hour and 17 minutes” to the departure time to see where the airplane would be.

Move the cursor to see the airplane moving along its route, the time will change as well

Do we forget something ? Yes, the hint !
What meaned “Can be seen from F21” ?
F21 is in fact a reference to a seat. If you want more informations about airplanes seats disposition, you can go on the website https://www.seatguru.com/.

AirAsia seats with the F21 hint

We can noticed than F21 seat is at the right of the airplane, this gives us an indication also about where to look depending on the position of the airplane on the route to Kota Kinabalu : right.

Difficult to see at first sight, you could zoomin on flightradar24 website to see more precisely the cities closer to the plane.

Finally, the answers !

The answers available for this variant were : “Mukah” or “Dalat”.
For the first variant, the answers were : “Peurelak” or “Idi Rayeuk”.

And this is the end for today Quest recap !
I hope you liked this review, thank you for reading, and see you next time for another quest recap.

Kind regards,
Alexis
