YouTube has 2.5 billion active users, and India tops that list with the highest number of active users on YouTube, with 467 million users. But why are Indian YouTubers not able to make the most use of it?

Even though the potential of YouTube allowed many of us to generate full-time income, we are still lacking when compared to foreign YouTubers on money making and view generating techniques.

We know YouTube pays more when we have a fruitful amount of international audience. Keeping India’s population in mind, many foreign YouTubers like Dad’s Den, Dabble the reaction are targeting Indian audiences with their effectless reaction videos. This type of content makes me feel bad for a hardworking content creator who didn’t get enough recognition. Also, it is easy for an English-speaking vlogger to attract a larger audience globally.

As a video creator, I made many experiments to find why we can’t grab a global audience even after posting content that doesn’t belong only to a certain culture but rather fits globally.

I assure you, even without switching to speaking the English language by rectifying these 3 mistakes, you can reach a global audience.

1.Avoid native language in thumbnail

Marvelous content with a clumsy thumbnail and native language in it is similar to preparing Maggie with the stove off. Build a thumbnail that makes an impression on anyone to click rather than making it for the local audience.

On occasions, the text raises trust to click, but using native language breaks the suspense and leads people who are not aware of the language to dodge the video itself. Forget about the text you can look at MrBeast the most famous young YouTuber who makes most thumbnails without text. If your thumbnail craves for text, then feed them with English words that help you drive a global audience.

Thumbnails are the first impression that acts as a bridge between content and viewer. Put much effect on editing thumbnails to make them richer and more influential. I remember those days when I sacrificed my sleep just to build a single thumbnail. So use high-quality images to build thumbnails.

Keep in mind that you don’t allow YouTube to customize your thumbnail. Never do that. I repeat, never.

That will ruin the efforts you put on the content.

I consider thumbnails as a teaser before the movie. What about you? Let me know in the comments below.

2.Optimized title

The title not only solves the question of humans: what’s inside? That also helps search engines drive more reach as well. Phrase your title with a keyword that is searched by an audience, not with what you want to phrase. Also, as I mentioned above, avoid the native language in the title as well.

YouTube allows titles with 1 to 100 characters to use the most and type around 90 to 100 characters to embrace more keywords in the title. Build a habit of including your channel name inside the title that helps when someone searches for your channel name. All your videos will show up.

Also, ensure that the title feeds questions of the viewer

What?

Who?

When?

Why?

How?

You can also create eagerness by adding numbers in the title.

3.Include various language subtitles

Subtitles are key to reach globally. Without switching to English, you can put your voice through subtitles. YouTube itself offers an auto-generator option, but I suggest that you use online tools to translate and add subtitles in your own style.

Add subtitles of various languages to reach various parts of the world. To make various language subtitles, hire a professional caption writer. Most YouTubers prefer professionals to write captions for their videos.

Instead of wasting money on campaigns, hiring professionals to write captions is the smart way of reaching new people across the globe.

I have come across categories like pet and cooking videos where they won’t even speak a single word but generate more views globally.

Check out Traditional me SriLanka based cooking channel here creator included 36 different languages in captions.

MilkyBokiTan Korean based pet channel here creator included 30 different languages in captions.

Adding these many languages in caption not only helps you reach globally but also creates the trust that how much you value your subscribers.
