Previous Day 009: Job 21–23

Job 24

In this chapter, Job continues to question why the wicked seem to prosper while the righteous suffer. He gives a detailed description of the actions of the wicked and their disregard for God’s laws. He also mentions how they oppress the poor and needy.

As we read through this chapter, it may be easy to relate to Job’s frustration and confusion. We may have also questioned why bad things happen to good people and why the wicked seem to thrive. But as we see in Job’s story, God has a greater plan and purpose that we may not always understand.

It can also be a reminder for us to not envy or be discouraged by the success of those who choose to live contrary to God’s ways. In the end, their reward may be temporary while those who continue in righteousness will ultimately be blessed by God.
