Hazrat Asma was the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr, the second caliph of Islam and a companion of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), and the sister of Hazrat Ayesha, one of the wives of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).

Hazrat Asma was born in Mecca. Her family was among the first to embrace Islam, and she grew up in an environment deeply involved with the faith of Islam, which shaped her character with strength.

When Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and her father, Hazrat Abu Bakr, concealed themselves in the cave of Thawr due to the bad behavior of their tribe (Quraish). She risked her life and safety by supplying them with food and important information about their enemies.

When she realized she had no rope to tie the food, she tore her belt in two and used half of it to tie food. That’s why she got the nickname “Dhat an-Nitaqayn” (the One with the Two Belts).

On another occasion, during the migration of Muslims from Mecca to Medina, she played a pivotal role in aiding her father and Hazrat Muhammad. This all shows her brave nature.

Despite all the challenges and dangers she faced at that time, she remained committed to supporting the Prophet and her father. Her actions throughout her life were selfless and sacrificial.

Hazrat Asma also contributed to the Battle of Uhud by boosting the morale of the Muslim army. She provided water to the soldiers to keep them hydrated during the fight and facilitated medical aid.

She is a role model for all Muslim women and a symbol of courage for all generations. She proved that a woman can fight battles alongside men and support her father like a son.

Hazrat Asma married Hazrat Zubair ibn al-Awwam, a close companion of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). He was a brave and loyal man who complimented her bravery and determination. They supported each other through life’s challenges.
