Athena Testnet Launch: Here’s How to Join Us!
📌 Latest update: May 23, 2022, at UTC 12.00 PM — Due to the tremendous responses worldwide, we need to close the registration form for Athena Testnet participation in order to be able to provide the best testnet experience to the registered testnet participants.
There will be future airdrop activities by Athena, please stay tuned. We will announce any updates via our Discord, join us to be the first to know about almost everything.
We are excited to announce that Athena is launching our public Athena Testnet, which will be deployed on the Rinkeby Network!
To participate in testing, you will need to connect the Rinkeby Test Network to your MetaMask wallet. Then, submit the Athena Testnet registration form. After that, you should be able to receive our Athena tokens and start transaction activities on the Athena Testnet.
This post covers the introduction of the Athena Protocol, the main purpose of the public testnet, and the participation mechanics. We’ll also be rewarding 1,000,000 ATH to our contributors so we’ll show you how to collect. Let’s get started!
🚀 What is the Athena Protocol?
Human capital is one of the most valuable drivers for the world’s economic growth. Productivity of that human capital is the key to high levels of sustainable growth. However, human capital grows increasingly expensive due to the costs associated with the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and wisdom.
Athena is a decentralized protocol to democratize wisdom for humankind. Our belief is that “wisdom and knowledge should be transferable from one person to another easily, efficiently, and without boundaries”, and our vision is to build the protocol to achieve our vision.
At Athena, we seek to increase the accessibility of wisdom by creating a protocol that democratizes it across the workforce. Enhanced with modern blockchain technology, we utilize tokens to power the ecosystem by introducing positive incentives to all parties that will sustain the global circulation of wisdom.
💡 Our First Usecase: Athena Mentor — a Mentor-to-Earn platform
Athena Mentor is a Mentor-to-Earn platform with the core concept of “Wisdom Mining”. Users can transform their wisdom into crypto tokens, with the goal of distributing skills and experience from mentors to mentees worldwide. Athena Mentor connects you with top-notch mentors and on-demand experts who will empower you to achieve your breakthrough growth both personally and professionally.
🌟 Our Main Purpose of Athena Testnet
After several months of development, we are ready to launch the Athena Testnet to the public, enabling interested users to try our project, give feedback, and report bugs. That way, the Athena team can improve our project further in terms of both functionality and user experience.
🙌 How to participate in the Athena Testnet
We launched the Athena Testnet to the public, and we would like all of you to test it out. Token rewards will definitely be made available to our valuable contributors. If you are interested in participating in the Athena Testnet, follow these steps:
Step 1: Join our Discord channel to participate in the Athena Testnet via this link: https://discord.gg/DmxRkBPDZQ
Step 2: Once you have joined our Discord, go to #testnet-instruction to complete our Athena Testnet registration form. Provide us with your wallet address by May 31, 2022 at UTC 01:00 AM, so that we can transfer 10,000 Athena Tokens (ATH)* to your given wallet address.
These tokens will allow you to execute any transaction on the Athena Testnet (We transfer this number of Athena Tokens every day at UTC 8:00 AM from May 23, 2022, onwards).
Step 3: Go to the Athena Testnet website where you can learn more about our project, Athena (The link to the Athena Testnet website will be given in our Discord).
Step 4: When you land on the Athena Testnet website, click ‘Launch App’ to get started with the Athena Testnet.
Step 5: Connect the Rinkeby Test Network to your MetaMask wallet (Learn more).
Step 6: Import Athena tokens (ATH) to your MetaMask wallet by going to the “Assets” tab and clicking on “Import Tokens”.
- At this point, copy and paste the Athena token address: 0xf99F39Be4364f431FF8FA482571E2E62ea98bAeE
- Then click “Add custom token” to complete importing the Athena tokens.
Step 7: Click ‘Withdraw’ the transferred amount of 10,000 ATH in the ‘Ready to Withdraw’ section to your connected MetaMask wallet.
Step 8: Begin your testing by completing the following actions:
#1 STAKE — Stake your ATH from your MetaMask wallet to our Athena Stake feature to receive real-time staking rewards.
#2 UNSTAKE — After staking your ATH, you can also choose to unstake them. It takes 21 days to complete the unstaking process; in other words, you will be allowed to withdraw the unstaked tokens after 21 days. However, once you unstake them, the unstaked tokens will not be eligible for the staking rewards.
#3 CLAIM STAKING REWARD — You can claim the staking reward at any time.
Step 9: After your testing, contribute to the Athena Testnet and earn ATH as a reward by completing the following actions:
#1 FEATURE FEEDBACK — Tell us what you like, what you wish to see, or what you would like improved about our project by sending your feedback to feedback@athenaglobal.co. We will selectively reward the contributors that provide us with valuable feedback and insights.
#2 BUG BOUNTY — Report bugs on our smart contracts as soon as possible by sending your report to security@athenaglobal.co. We will selectively reward the reports based on the severity of the issues reported. (Learn more)
Whether your email is about feedback or bugs, we will respond to you within five business days if we require more information.
Claim your Athena Tokens on the Athena Mainnet once it is live.
*Please note that the given number of Athena Tokens on the Testnet will not be transferred to your wallet when the Mainnet is launched. You will only be rewarded the amount of tokens based on your contribution as mentioned below.

After the launch of the Athena Testnet, we will gather your feedback, recommendations, and bug reports to improve our project before launching the Athena Mainnet in June. The Athena Testnet will be continuously updated with new features and available for public testing. After the Athena Mainnet launches, the reward program for contributors will be updated again.
