Civil Services Exam — Dos and Don’ts:
Don’t avoid reading the original text books. Please read below the excerpts from my widely acclaimed novel ‘As Boys Become Men’ about which The Times of India says -

I have learnt that the practice lessons cover the contents of all the major books you were just mentioning,’ a boy asks. He seems like someone who has been recently baptized into the preparations, more intent on eliciting a response than refuting Rajiv Sir.
‘But then it misses out the critical topics. Don’t make this sort of mistake. While you are going through your preparation for prelims, don’t forget to keep an eye on mains as well. That is where these ready-made guides don’t help,’ Rajiv Verma says authoritatively, still preening on his ‘cleared mains’ status.”

Mukul Kumar is a Civil Servant, belonging to the 1997 batch of the Indian Civil Services. An Indian Railway Traffic Service officer, he is at present working in the Ministry of Railways, New Delhi. He has studied Humanities from Delhi University, graduating from Kirori Mal College. He has also studied Public Administration at the prestigious Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
