The story begins with this email from the Binance France team:

We’ve been selected for a 2-day VIP event!

The crypto exchange is organizing a special tour called #TourDeFranceBinance, and it’s stopping off in our city Marseille.
This is a great opportunity to meet the team.

This event is also an opportunity for us to discover more about the Web3 ecosystem in Marseille, which is quite rare because there aren’t many initiatives in the area. That’s why we also co-organised an NFT event in Marseille a few weeks ago!

Some people love Binance, others hate it.

It’s not the topic of the day, but I’ve decided to talk about it:

I understand the debate between Centralisation vs Decentralisation.
Here is the opinion of CZ, CEO of Binance, who also talks about this subject.

From a personal point of view: I don’t think anything is ever black and white and there are positives and negatives in both cases. It all depends on how you use Binance and your skills: do you hold on it? Do you just use it to buy your cryptos? What’s your level of expertise in DeFi? Do you know how to secure a non-custodial wallet?

There are no right or wrong answers.

Centralised vs Decentralised

One thing is certain: Binance is encouraging mass adoption, and that’s a good thing for the ecosystem. There are, of course, risks associated with centralisation (FTX RIPs) that could be replicated…

To develop our web3 games ecosystem on mobile, however, we selected Polygon for technical reasons.

As soon as we arrived, we attended a masterclass to learn more about Binance and Cryptos/NFTs:

Binance has 150 million users worldwide.

In France Binance holds around one billion euros in crypto-assets for its users and holds 7 million USDT for its own account. If you want to know more about the figures click here 👀

After the conference, you can take part in quizzes to keep learning while having fun!

Now it’s time to network and enjoy the rooftop:

World Trade Center Marseille

We talked to the Binance team, who offered us tickets for The Weeknd’s concert in Nice in partnership with Binance. Thanks!

The moment is captured in a group photo:

The next day is a pétanque tournament with the Binance teams.
Pétanque is a typical game played in Marseille with balls.

As we are developing the BALLS-IN game with BALLS, being on the podium was an obligation for us and we achieved our objective:

Hello Hamid in the background ✌️

Thanks again for the gifts & goodies!

During these 2 days, we discussed with the Binance France team and the participants. We continued to learn, share our vision and gather feedback on BALLS-IN. It was a great experience that strengthened the community. We’re looking forward to the next edition!

In the next episode, we’ll be talking about communication…
