Piety and piety of a servant is a measure of glory in the sight of Allah Ta’ala, as in his words:

{إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم}

“Verily the noblest in the sight of Allah is the most pious among you” (Surat al-Hujurat: 13).

A head of household who is always obedient to Allah Ta’ala will be facilitated her affairs, whether related to himself or related family members. Allah the Exalted says:

{ومن يتق الله يجعل له مخرجا. ويرزقه من حيث لا يحتسب}

“Those who fear Allah, He will give him a way out (in all his problems), and gives him sustenance from unexpected directions-but thought” (QS. Ath-Thalaaq: 2–3).

In the next verse Allah says:

{ومن يتق الله يجعل له من أمره يسرا}

“Those who fear Allah, He will make him ease in (all) affairs” (QS. Ath-Thalaaq: 4).

Meaning: Allah Ta’ala will ease and facilitate (all) affairs, and make her way out and a solution soon (resolve its problems).

Even with a head of household piety, by keeping the limits of his Shari’a, Allah Ta’ala will facilitate secure and taufik Him for himself and his family, as saying of the Prophet SAW Shallallahu’alaihi:

“Keep (restrictions / Shariah) Allah, He will take care of you, keep (restrictions / law) of Allah and you will find Him in front of you”.

Meaning of “keeping (the limits / law) of Allah” is to fulfill his rights to always serve him, and to execute all His commands and avoid His prohibitions. And the meaning of “you will find Him in front of you”: He will always be with you by always giving aid and taufik Him unto you as laki-laki sholeh or a good man.

Sentry Allah Ta’ala in this hadith also includes the preservation of family members who fear the servants.

2. Responsible Giving Livelihoods For Families

Feeding their families properly is one of the primary obligations of a head of the family and with whom he is called the leader of the family members. Allah the Exalted says:

{الرجال قوامون على النساء بما فضل الله بعضهم على بعض وبما أنفقوا من أموالهم}

“The man is a leader for women, because Allah has preferred some of them (men) on sebahagian another (female), and because they (men) spend out of their possessions” (Surat an -Nisaa ‘: 34).

In another verse, Allah the Exalted says:

{وعلى المولود له رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف}

“And the obligation to feed and clothe the father to the mother in a way that ma’ruf” (Surah al-Baqarah: 233).

In the authentic hadith, the Prophet Shallallahu’alaihi Wasallam when asked about the rights of a wife on her husband, he  said: “Let him give (provide for) food for his wife as he ate, gave (living for) him as wearing clothes, not hit her face, not her ugliness mendokan (reproach), and not boycotting except in the house (only) “.

Of course the purpose of providing a living here is sufficient and appropriate to the needs, not excessive and not less. Because including the nature of God’s servants who fear Allah Ta’ala is they always manage the expenditure of their property that is not too extravagant nor miserly adan. Allah the Exalted says:

{والذين إذا أنفقوا لم يسرفوا ولم يقتروا وكان بين ذلك قواما}

“And (the servants of God that believers are) those who, when they spend (treasure), they are not exaggerated, and not (also) miserly, and is (their spending) in the middle between such” ( QS al-Furqaan: 67).

That is: they are not redundant (exaggerated) in spending wealth that exceeds the requirement, and (along with it) they also do not miserly with their own families so lacking in (performing) their rights and insufficient (purposes), but they (being ) fair (balanced) and moderate (in spending), and the best case is moderate (middle).

It’s all they do not because of excessive love of wealth, but because they are afraid they will be the treasure of accountability before God Almighty on the Day of Judgment later. Shallallahu’alaihi Rasulullah SAW said: “There will be shifted two soles of the feet of a servant on the Day of Resurrection until he is asked (held accountable) where he spent about age, about his knowledge of how he put it into practice, on his property; from which it procures and where dibelanjakannya, as well as on his body for what it uses. “

3. Attention to Religious Education For Family

It is the primary obligation of a householder to his family members. Allah the Exalted says:

{يا أيها الذين آمنوا قوا أنفسكم وأهليكم نارا وقودها الناس والحجارة}
“O ye who believe, guard yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is men and stones” (Surat at-Tahriim: 6).

Ali bin Abi Talib radhiallahu’anhu, when interpreting the verse, he said: “(It means): Teach kindness to yourself and your family”.

Shaykh Abdurrahman as-Sa’di said: “Maintaining yourself (from the fire) is to require for themselves to carry out the commands of Allah and avoid His prohibitions, and repent of all the acts that led to the wrath and retribution. As for maintaining his wife and children (from the fire) is to educate and teach them (Islamic law), as well as forcing them to (implement) the command of God. Then the servant would not have survived (the torments of hell) unless he (actually) carried out the orders of Allah (in this paragraph) to himself and to the people who brought power and responsibility “.

In an authentic hadith, when the noble Companions, Malik bin al-Huwairits radhiallahu’anhu and clan visited Rasulullah SAW Shallallahu’alaihi for twenty days to study al-Qur’an and his sunnah, then Rasulullah SAW said to them Shallallahu’alaihi : “Go home to your family, stay with them and teach (the guidance of Allah Ta’ala) to them”.
