The Big Reveal: New Owners of the Blitz App

If you’ve been following Blitz announcements, you know our team was recently acquired by Discord and that we’re passing our League of Legends app on to a new mystery owner. And if you’re a Blitz app user, you’ve probably been wondering who exactly the new owner is and what you can expect for the future of the app.

Time for answers.

We’re happy to say that the app is being transferred today to the team behind Champion.gg and Probuilds: capable devs who clearly have tons of experience and expertise building great tools for gamers. They’ll not only maintain the app, but also continue to improve it with useful new features so you can use it confidently for a long time to come.

There’ll be no interruption in service, so you can keep using the app as is. We’ll be handing off our Discord community to the new owners as well, so they’ll be available to take questions and feedback there, or you can DM them at adil#4770 and LeafMeAlone#0357. The transition will be smooth and simple, and shouldn’t impact your experience at all as users.

Thanks so much for your support over our open beta. It’s been really fun and so rewarding working on the app for you guys — shoutout to everyone who sent feedback that helped us make it better and better! We’re optimistic about the future of the app, and we know the new devs will do an awesome job with it.
