Here is a drop “Daffodils4444ever” of 40 flatbed scanner daffodil images and these are one of ones. That means only one person can own each of these 40 images. Go to this link at Bueno.art to get in on that drop!

I started this series of Daffodil Portraits created with a flatbed scanner with 8 days of open mints. The minting of those initial images is open until June.

Daffodil Celebration 8

You can collect the NFT here: https://app.manifold.xyz/c/daffodilcelebration8

Daffodil Celebration 7

This is my favorite type of daffodil. It’s small, about 1.5" in diameter and they have 3 flowers per stalk and are like tiny little fried eggs. They smell amazing. Here is the NFT if you collect: https://app.manifold.xyz/c/daffodilcelebration7

Daffodil Celebration 6

This is the 6th in the series. These three daffodil friends are the Narcissus Pseudonarcissus type of daffodil. Narcissus Pseudonarcissus comes up about halfway through the Daffodil season. Created with a scanner and a love of spring. NFT here: 6ed6d96f3108https://app.manifold.xyz/c/daffodilcelebration6

Daffodil Celebration 5

Daffodil Celebration 5. Update: I have reset these to be open editions until June 18th. I’m in the process of setting up a fine art photo printer and want to be able to leave these open so that people who buy them can get a print of them when they come to the shows I have set up for June. Small chance i will have these set up for later this week for NFT week events. Here is the link to the NFT of this image.

I love Daffodils. A few years ago, we planted a lot of daffodils and it’s just a delight at the end of March when they begin to bloom. They are flowers for about 3–4 weeks and then the flowers go sideways. The stalks/leaves stay alive and absorb energy from the sun for another couple weeks after that.

Daffodils are our family’s celebration of spring. When they start peeking up out of the ground, we initiate our Daffodil Celebration. We create bouquets, give them to friends, and generally bask in their yellowness. Thankfully, the deer don’t eat them.

This year they are stronger than ever and I’ve been bringing in Daffodils every day or two to the workshop and started composing them on the hi resolution flatbed image scanner and doing Daffodil Portraits. The scanner has a very very thin focus plane… basically only the parts of the flower that are touching or very close to the scanner glass are in focus. The rest of the image becomes fuzzy and dissapates into a fog-like background.

Lately I’ve been enjoying publishing art as NFTs and this year forDaffodil Celebration I will be publishing these Daffodil Celebration flower-scan-portaits one a day. We have many different varieties of Daffodil and the first ones up are these light yellow petalled ones and a few of the strong yellow ones. Later in the season, we get a bunch of “sunny side up egg” miniature daffodils that have a deep orange center and lighter outer petals.

With NFTs, there are a number of different mechanics to drive specialness and scarcity. In some cases, there will be only one token made of an artwork. In other cases, there will be a limited number. In this case, we will be limiting the number by having a limited window to acquire them. Each one will be available for 24 hours starting at 10am each day. I’m going to carry this on for as long as the Daffodils are blooming. When they go sideways and we run out of portraits, that will conclude this years Daffodil Celebration art project.
