Avail Light Node: How to Easily Obtain the New Avail NFT? (FR/EN)
Celestia’s competitor, Avail, is launching its new Testnet Light Client Lift-off campaign! Follow these steps to get your NFT and have a chance to win rewards.

Introduction
Avail is a layer that enables execution modules to develop and interact with each other while minimizing the need for mutual trust.
Supported by giants such as DragonFly Capital, Founders Fund, and Balaji Srinivasan, and boasting a funding of 27 million dollars, Avail positions itself as a serious competitor to Celestia.
In this new initiative, several steps will be necessary to acquire your NFT. You will need to link your social networks, have a digital wallet, and launch a light node.
1- VPS Configuration
To deploy your node, you have two options: hosting it on your own computer or setting it up on a Virtual Private Server (VPS), the latter being perfect for hosting websites, applications, or nodes.
Personally, I chose Contabo, a renowned VPS provider, for its reliability and performance.
The required configuration to run a Babylon node demands an little level of setup.
Therefore, I recommend the Cloud VPS 1.
If you wish to run additional nodes on your VPS, consider moving to the next tier up.

Opt for a 400 GB storage capacity and select the Ubuntu 22.04 image for your configuration.
Once you have completed the payment process, you will receive an order confirmation email. Please wait to receive a second email containing information about your VPS, including your login credentials.
To connect to your VPS, I recommend following this detailed tutorial. You will need to download the Putty software, which will allow you to establish a secure connection with your VPS and access its features.
2- Installation of Essential Components
Before diving into setting up your node, it’s crucial to update your VPS.
To do this, simply execute the following command in your VPS terminal:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y
Download Screen to run your node in the background, as well as Curl:
apt-get install screen curl -y
3- Launching the Avail Light Node
You will launch the Avail node in the background.
To do this, create a Screen session on your VPS:
screen -S availThis will open a new window where you can launch your Avail node:
curl -sL1 avail.sh | bash
Congratulations! Your Avail light node is now active!
Retrieve your public key from your node’s log and keep it safe.
To detach your Screen session, hold down CTRL + A +D.
f you wish to return to your Screen session:
screen -r avail4- Creating the Avail Wallet
To create your wallet, visit the Avail browser:
Click on ‘Accounts’ then ‘+Account’.
Carefully save your seed phrase.
Once you have completed these steps, you will find your wallet address in the ‘Accounts’ section.
With your seed phrase, you will be able to import your wallet into a wallet extension, such as Subwallet or Talisman.
5- Light Client Lift-off Challenge
Now that you have all this information, you are ready to take on your challenge!
Go to the Avail page:
To fully complete the form, don’t forget to claim your tokens via the faucet located at the top right of the screen.
