Bridge Protocol Community Update June 22nd, 2018
One fiscal quarter closes and another starts.
But, why does a completed phase open Pandora’s box?
Bridge Protocol is moving into its next phase of development. We will be releasing information regarding our MVP in the coming week and are very excited to show you what we have been working on.
But that is still to come; so lets take a look at what has already happened…
Exchange Information
Switcheo
With the distribution of our new token complete; TOLL is now available for purchase on NEOs first DEX, Switcheo. We are excited to finally join our fellow NEO projects on the platform and look forward to their continued growth as well as the growth of the entire NEO ecosystem.
Bitpaction
Bitpaction has also completed all functions related to our new token. Bridge community members that had IAM on Bitpaction prior to the token swap have been credited with their new TOLL tokens.
Trading has resumed and TOLL is now available for withdraw and deposit.
Token Re-issuance
Many community members have been contacting us and are curious about the token airdrop process. It was a very interesting process and we would like to share that with everyone; whether you are technically inclined or not!
Our Blockchain Engineer, Thomas Lobker, was the lead developer on our new TOLL token. Because of his CoZ experience, vast personal experience and attention to detail; the airdrop was completed without a flaw.
The first step of the process was to find out who was hodling IAM, Thomas explained that, “Taking a snapshot and distributing the new tokens is a process that has no room for error.”
With the weight of the Blockchain on him, Thomas says “We started off by creating the snapshot. To do this we had to retrace all the blocks in the NEO blockchain and look for IAM transfers; we had to find each and every token and be sure it was where we thought. Once these were recorded and reconciled, we had our distribution list ready”
Once this snapshot was recorded, it needed to be checked. To accomplish that, Thomas verified its integrity by checking the total supply and doing random samplings.
“It all looked perfect. We had our final distribution list and we were ready to proceed with the airdrop.”
Some nodes had fallen out of sync; but, we prepared for these setbacks.
To avoid this causing an issue, Thomas crafted an ingenious way to TRIPLE the speed of distribution.
Thomas notes, “During the test we knew that we could do no more than three transfers per block to stay within the GAS limit. We decided to use multiple distribution wallets and split up the distribution list accordingly.”
Once the new contract was up and snapshot verified; it was the moment of truth.
To verify this process was running smoothly; “We built a script to distribute the tokens, wait for each transaction to clear and verify the integrity before continuing with the next transaction. The script was programmed to keep running automatically as long as everything was checking out nicely. But if anything unexpected happened, the script would have stopped for manual intervention.”
After it was all over, Thomas noted, “It was a stressful week even though we did a lot of testing. We still thought of anything that could have gone wrong. But when we were doing the final execution, it all went very well. We were able to sit back, relax and monitor the progress.”
The token airdrop process was completed in matter of hours. As updates are released for various projects like NEON and NEOtracker, TOLL will replace IAM on listings.
TOLL Token Support
Distribution is finalized and complete. All tokens have been delivered to their proper wallets and all holders should now see their TOLL.
If you need assistance with the new Script Hash, please contact support@bridgeprotocol.io and someone from the team can assist you.
Assistance is also available on Discord and Telegram.
Infographic Competition
The results are in for the Bridge Protocol Infographic Competition!
It was refreshing to see the artistic talent in our community being utilized to educate others. Everyone that participated made their passion for blockchain and Bridge very clear.
Please take some time to review these artists work; if you like what they did, please share to get them the credit they deserve!

The marketing team will be running more promotional contests in the future. Please watch our social media channels for more information.
Cryptolina 2018
Combine Sunshine, Oak Trees and Hushpuppies (or Hashpuppies) with blockchain…
….Sounds like Cryptolina 2018!
Our CEO Stephen Hyduchak and some of the marketing team were in attendance for a blockchain and cryptocurrency convention in Raleigh, NC this month.
The event was June 15th and 16th at the Raleigh Convention Center. Bridge had a booth space where we had the chance to meet our community and network, as well as introduce our projects to some new people!
We want to see this event continue to grow and believe that Raleigh is a perfect hub for the expanding blockchain industry. Big names like IBM, SAS, Cisco and Wells Fargo have found a home in Raleigh, NC.
Bridge is proud to call Raleigh home, too!
