Last week (8th March) we ran a ‘Meet the Experts’ panel on Facebook Live where you posed questions to our varied panel in the studio of creative specialists and experts in the field working to support refugees.

The event was designed to support anyone thinking of entering our ‘Connecting Refugees’ brief for the Creative Conscience Awards 2017, providing practical knowledge and advice, highlighting challenges and sensitivities that need to be considered, and helping you to develop more than just an idea — we’re looking for viable solutions that can be put into practice.

The 45 minute informative discussion featured our good friends:

- O’Hara from The Worldwide Tribe
- Min Teo from Techfugees
- Holly Atrill from The Young Creative Council
- Chrissy Levett from Creative Conscience
and was hosted by our own Briony Pete from Cause2Create

We also featured a live link into the EKO Project, a creative hub supporting refugees from camps in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece, where we chatted to Dan Teuma from The World Wide Tribe.

Want to know what we’re looking for in a winner, what challenges need to be considered, and how to build on the work already being done in this area, then look no further than this video:
