In an uncertain market like the one we’re in now, money gets tight and subscriptions are usually the first thing to go.
What if that didn’t have to be the case?
In this series I will discuss my favorite free options for all the content that we can’t live without.
Spotube
Overview
Spotube is a newer project on GitHub
It is an open-source Spotify client that lets users stream music from Spotify by signing in with their Spotify account. It makes use of the Spotify API to load your library and allow you to interact with playlists and artists, just like Spotify. The only difference is that the music is piped in from other sources like YouTube.
This means that you can download music in M4a format and store it in any folder you designate. This is a pretty cool feature that Spotify Premium doesn’t even allow you to do. 😁
