Black explains that the first shipment that arrived in July, and half of the second shipment, were completely sold. Cotton coiled futons are increasing sales by around 7%, and profit margins by around 2%.
Even though this kind of futon is excellent to be marketed through sleep stores and specialty stores, there is also a great opportunity among old -school furniture stores.
Naboicheck points out that futons with innerspring are perfect for traditional stores that still think futons are just a low-end product. Many of the retailers are just realizing that the futon segment is growing rapidly every day and they must keep up.
