Hi everyone!

In the previous week’s updated Whitepaper — Roadmap section, you could see the next milestone was, and I quote, “Crafting recipes NFTs”. I guess many of you are wondering what these are… so let’s get deeper into that today!

New NFT

Recipes are a new NFT we are introducing in First Settlers. These will be used to create exclusive resources that cannot be found elsewhere in the world; or, in other words, crafted resources. Apart from having the NFT Recipe in your inventory, crafting the resource requires 3 different types (with their respective amounts) of resources, just like the current missions system.

There will be Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary recipes and every one of them will be completely unique, meaning the required resources will be different in each case (even if the crafted resource is the same one). We aim to create an interesting loop for the market and player progression, where the goal is not only to look out for NFT Recipes that are not owned, but also for the best possible NFT Recipe (which varies depending on the player. E.g.: a player who owns a lot of Forest biomes , will try to find NFT Recipes that require Forest resources… for obvious reasons).

These NFT Recipes are represented by a lab-tube with the crafted resource on the inside, take a look!

How to use a NFT Recipe

We always follow the golden “keep it simple” rule: just go to the Missions Menu on your UMGear-Z, click on the new Crafting subtab, and select which NFT Recipe you want to use (only if you have the required resources, of course!). As simple as that. It is very similar to the current “completing mission” flow.

How to get a NFT Recipe

NFT Recipes can be obtainable like any other NFT: completing missions, game rewards, or purchasing it in the NFT Marketplace or our Shop.

Before First Settlers Season 1, a temporary sale event will be launched, similar to the one we did with the NFT Deities Ancestral Decorations: every day, during a whole week, a new NFT Recipe will be available for purchase with UM.

Also, these NFT Recipes will be available anytime in our Shop (well… while there are units left!). Similar to the Eggum Machine, a random NFT Recipe will be obtained with UM. The probabilities are as follows:

Uncommon: 50%
Rare: 30%
Epic: 15%
Legendary: 5%

Crafteable resources

But what are these crafted resources for…? Well, they will be VERY useful in First Settlers Missions. As the crafted resource’s rarity increases, it will be required in harder missions with better rewards: First Settlers exclusive NFT, UM and so on!

UM price and weird purchases

Changing the subject completely, last week we detected a series of purchases with cards of dubious origin. It’s safe to say the intended UM amount cannot be stolen, as Stripe has validated the payments with 3DS. The sales seen on the DEX of 86k UM are from those dubious purchases. It is still early to know if these movements have been conducted by possible competitors or some malicious users. We just wanted to clarify that we are always monitoring the system and we will block any fraudulent activity or system exploit. We always looking to increase the security, and we don’t have any more suspicious movements.

As a result of these movements, the UM price dropped, but we are confident that this is transitory and we see it as an opportunity for crypto users to buy at a lower price. At the end, the economy will balance itself.

New Web Feedback

To sum up today’s Medium, we wanted to thank you all for your feedback about the new website. We are very glad you liked it. The Roadmap has been received with a little bit of uncertainty, but please remember this Roadmap has to be used as an “aim to”, as a direction. The order of the milestone might vary for many reasons, including how the First Settler launch goes.
