Hi Everyone,

After some issues with Bit2Me we have decided to move to another payment platform. So crypto payments in the shop are now OFF and will remain unavailable until we finish to integrate the new platform, probably next week. Sorry about the inconveniences.

The new payment method for crypto will be NOWPayment. We are now finishing the integration, but we still need to finish some issues with their callbacks. NOWPayment has also some positive points, like the option to use our own wallet to store the payments or more tokens options to pay. We will update you as soon as the new integration is finished and the crypto payments are activated again.

Going back to First Settlers development, we are working on some of the effects for the different nature elements and biomes. Here you can see some of the WIP test that we are doing during the development.

Forest

A biome full of life and light.

Add Pop-up mushrooms but all the little plants grow slowly.

Spot lights are relevant so they will have movement.

Added animation for falling leaves.

Grassland

Windy biome, full of tall grass with movement. The trees also.

Wind with leaves.

Animation of dust clouds on the ground.

Rocky

We want to represent the heat and dusty environment, so we used a distortion. Probably it’s too much but it represents the idea.

Added sand animation appears/disappears with the wind.

Added little falling rocks.

Volcanic

This biome is the definition of heat, fire, lava and fire sparks.

Added lava bubbles and smoke animation.

Also distortion shader but not everywhere like rocky, just with lava spots.

Glacial

Cold environment but not aggressive, cute snow at the moment, more intense randomly.

Snow animation is like rocky but in this case the snow melts.

Shiny particles with the giant crystals.

Reflects on the giant crystals.

Mystical

Glowy and marine biome. Added glow animation for mushrooms.

Spores with the mushrooms. Bubbles. Fog animation.

Fireflies and other insects, like a jungle.

Many thanks for the survey feedback! We’re surprised that the majority of you like point&click controls instead of virtual joysticks and buttons. We are still figuring out how to do it.

Many of you are asking for the Burn NFT feature. Sorry, still not ready to be added to the game, hopefully by the end of the next week we can update the game. Did you find the login and friends invitation process smooth? Feel free to tell us your experience or issues in our telegram or discord channel.

New Office

Finally, we are moving to a new office in 1–2 weeks. The new office will be much smaller but also much cheaper, so it is just what we need now in order to save resources and focus on a longer development. We will post some photos as soon as we are installed. The bad news is that this is distracting us a little bit and it may add some delay to First Settlers release. Let’s try to make sure that the impact is not too big, the change is for the good of the project.
