[Fixed] IDM — There is No Disk Space Left on Drive C
Hello IDMLover, if IDM displays the message “There is no disk space left on drive” while downloading a file or video from the internet, it indicates that “There is not enough space on Local Disk C to save the file” because IDM’s temporary files are located on Local Disk C by default.

To resolve this issue, you simply need to change the IDM temporary file location to download or save extra-large files. You can use any Local Disk Drive that has sufficient space.
Here’s how you can do it:
Fix IDM — “There is no disk space left on drive C to store downloaded file parts”:
- Start by creating a new folder on a drive that has enough free space to store the file you want to download.
- Open IDM (Internet Download Manager) and navigate to Options >> Save to.
- Click on the Browse button in the Temporary directory section and select the folder you created in the first step.
- Select the file in IDM, right-click, and choose Move/Rename.
- Choose a folder where you want to store that file (ensure that the drive has sufficient space).
- Click on Start Download or Resume the file.
- IDM will split your download file, and in the end, it will combine all file parts into one.
- Done!
Make sure to copy your default location in case you want to change it back later.
