We’re learning about the Romanian #edtech industry from experts in this area. Startup founders, teachers and other people from the community are exploring the subject in a series of video interviews.

In this episode we talk with David Pollard, co-founder of Sapien Innovation, an innovation and design-thinking consultancy that helped initiate the European Commission EU vs Virus hackathon for 30,000 participants, and TeamOSV, an NFP with over 3,000-volunteers working on over 40 COVID-19 related projects, including an Open Source Ventilator project. His work in these areas has appeared on Forbes, Fortune, and the New York Times.

David lecturers at Trinity College Dublin in Innovation, Creativity, and Design Thinking, and at the National College of Ireland in Technology Enhanced Learning. He has a role as the Innovation Projects Manager at the Rehab Group, one of Ireland’s largest NFP with over 15,000 people with disabilities.

He’s also a global facilitator with Techstars and is the co-organiser of Startup Week Dublin and over 15 Startup Weekends.
