Ledger Nano S - reset your device
Warning! Resetting your device can not be undone!
All your data will be erased and can only be recovered using your 24 words recovery passphrase
Reset your device by entering an incorrect PIN 3 times
The easiest way to reset your device is by entering an incorrect PIN 3 times in a row.
- Connect your device to a pc or laptop using any USB charging cable.
- Enter and validate an incorrect PIN 3 times.
- Once your Nano S displays the message “Your device has been reset”, press both buttons until the “Welcome” message is displayed, or disconnect and reconnect your device.
That's it, your device is now restored to factory settings.
Resetting your device from the menu
However, if you remember your device PIN, you can also perform a factory reset from the menu. This will have the same result as entering an incorrect PIN 3 consecutive times.
When you have unlocked your device, choose:
- Settings
- Device
- Reset all
- Confirm the warning message
