Using your device

To use the device it always has to be connected to a power source. As it should interact with your pc or laptop, a USB port is most ideal.

The device has an LCD display and only has two physical buttons for control.

The Ledger Nano S only has two buttons.

Left/right button
Use the left and right buttons to navigate through multiple-choice lists, change values or confirm decisions.

Both buttons
Pressing both buttons simultaneously will confirm choices, continue to a next screen or open an application.

Setting up your device

Now you're ready to set up your device, you can choose between two options:

1. Setting up a new device
   Configure your Ledger Nano S for the first time
2. Restore your device
   Use your recovery phrase to restore your Ledger Nano S and recover your wallets
