The CryptoFlix Streaming Platform

Like I mentioned in the previous post, CryptoFlix actually solves a real problem for the Film Industry by gaining access to a market of 2 billion people while at the same time fighting film piracy. Therefore, the CryptoFlix Movie and TV streaming platform is the answer.

But not only is CryptoFlix a good solution for the film industry — it is also a great solution for the unbanked population of the world because you no longer need a credit card or a bank account to access your favorite Movie or TV show.

Here is how we envision why this will work:

For the unbanked users, we will provide a larger selection of local international films than what the competition has. The large selection of paid Movies and TV shows, combined with a lot of free educational content, will give the users convenience — which they certainly do not have when they are trying to find a pirated film to illegally download.

But there is more, the current trend of the global as well as many local VOD providers is that, the streaming quality has to be better and better. Consequently, the quality has developed from Standard Definition (SD) to High Definition (HD) to Ultra High Definition (UHD), which is great if you have unlimited internet and a 4K UHD Flat Screen TV. However, if you have an older smartphone or tablet with limited and/or a slow internet connection and insufficient storage on your device, then chances are that you will have a bad experience.

On the CryptoFlix platform we will work with a user defined streaming quality definition. We call it YourDef. YourDef will analyze the internet connection and the device and it will suggest which streaming quality is recommended to have a good streaming experience. And the price will be determined by the chosen quality.

We will achieve the above with the assistance of the Movie and TV content owners of the world. They will be interested in making their content available on the CryptoFlix platform because:

• CryptoFlix will be the only or at least one of the only alternatives for distribution in our chosen markets
• We will give the content owners much more control over the pricing on the platform, which they do not have with the current global players
• We will allow the content owners to deliver a less than UHD version for use on the platform, which will allow them to activate a lot of older titles
• We will actively fight piracy by making films available conveniently and by using our individual watermark technology

So we have the users and the content — the only question that remains is — how do the users get their hands on the FLIX tokens needed to pay on the platform?

We are working right now on partnerships with regional and local companies on the ground in our target markets to make available the distribution of FLIX over the counter — in all major cities. We are also working on a unique wallet solution for CryptoFlix, which will make it easy for all users — experienced in Cryptos or not — to access FLIX tokens immediately.
