A structured method of sharing born from the desire to engage intentionally while learning & sharing to nourish neuroplasticity.

Hi, I’m Daisy!

In mid-June 2022, I decided that I wanted to introduce a structured way to show up in my peripherals and with that came with the realization that the changes had to stem from the patterns of sharing and interactions I was having.

I’ve never really been a big TV watcher, though I will admit that some shows like Westworld or Spanish novellas have been a pleasure to watch (no guilt involved). Please don’t ask if I’ve seen ‘x’ movie or ‘y’ show because I probably haven’t, but by all means, you can feel free to tell me about it. Instead, ask me if I’ve read ‘w’ book or listened to ‘z’ song, because the chances are much more probable than having watched ‘y’ show.

Six months into 2022 felt like an appropriate time to welcome and share this deeper layer of myself — an invitation to match my reality with the one at my fingertips. Over the last year, I’ve been slowly piecing together a system to gear me into disrupting patterns doing me disservice and usher myself into a more structured way to engage. I like to think of my interactions with life as an act of reciprocity — a give and take of energy spent that converts to replenished energy.

Segments has become a guide to a weekly practice of sharing stories on IG that weave nourishing neuroplasticity with intentional sharing. Four days of the week are dedicated to sharing in the context of each of the four segments.

Growing | Our ability to rewire our brain comes from the input we give it daily. Create the habit of rewiring the wires that fire by allowing yourself to adapt to internal & external stimuli — to grow

Learning | Strengthening neural networks can reorganize & restructure themselves in response to changed environments. Strengthen your brain by immersing yourself in mentally stimulating activities to challenge you, to improve skills, to adapt to new situations — to learn.

Building | The brain is like a muscle, where continuous integration is key for maintaining activity. Block by block, spark neural pathways by lighting up to retrieve, to produce, to update frequently — to build.

Playing | Intense focus ~ Intense rest || Neuroplasticity is triggered by intense focus, but occurs during intense rest. Playing is form of focus-rest. Engage in forms that enable you to explore, to expand, to restore — to play.

Cheers to peeling back to the layers!
