AMA Session’s Answers
Hello Daneelers,
hope you enjoyed our AMA session last week. Here are all the answers from the session. A FAQ is also available on our Reddit page. We decided to answer all the questions in an article. We will also organize a second video AMA session with the team as soon as we have our offices in Paris. Here are the answers:
1) “I would like to know more about IBM partnership. Not seen any announcement from their end (I may have missed it) Because this is a massive deal. a partnership with one of the top recognized companies in the world means the project legitimacy can be determined. So please talk us through to that”

You did not miss anything, there were no other announcements than those already made there: All you need to know about Daneel’s Legal Status and its IBM Partnerworld program membership.
As you know, IBM, with its Cloud and Watson services, offers very competitive Big Data technologies services, Artificial Intelligence, and recently, Blockchain services (IBM Blockchain Platform / Hyperledger) — https://www.ibm.com/blockchain/.
Indeed, with our status of the “IBM Business Partner”, we benefit from a privileged assistance and support, and an unrestricted access to all the IBM Watson services necessary for our AI, Daneel. We will probably make announcements about this partnership in the future, especially once the product is finished and available.
2) “This project ICO went under the radar if not under the earth surface. I have seen so much enthusiasm during the first couple of days/first week. But it has declined ever since. What is your marketing plan? How strong is your marketing team? Is there any particular person or firm behind it?”

We will share two PDF files with all the details of our marketing and communication strategy. We are currently hiring our providers. Marketing will become more efficient as we’re getting closer to the product launch. Due to budget allocation strategy, we have decided to mainly focus on the product rather than making temporary hype through marketing. However, our marketing efforts will increase significantly in the near future. We are also planning marketing/e-reputation campaigns with agencies specializing in the crypto space. We plan to organize a special launching event with our partners for the product release.

The marketing team is currently understaffed as we are first hiring developers for the product. A business developer will follow quickly. 3) “Why makes you think daneel will be different from other AI projects around the crypto space?”

Unlike other A.I-crypto projects, our solution is positioned as a personal assistant created to accompany the user on a daily basis. We spent time observing and analyzing projects using A.I systems in the cryptocurrencies and Blockchain sector, and it appeared to us that although some technologies were interesting, it was not easy for the user to obtain the information they was looking for easily. Moreover, it seemed obvious that a solution integrating a conversational assistant system to guide the user in his daily life was needed if we wanted to make our own A.I system efficient.
6) “When you guys are gonna list DAN on proper exchanges in order anti up the volume and price? as far as I can see there are a lot of partnerships coming, Updates are coming, etc. However, Price of DAN seems to be stand still. As a normal investors perspective, marketing and stuff need to be spot on. Daneel project is based on IBM Watson which is a massive thing.”

We have listed DAN on several exchanges and indexes to have as much visibility as possible. Today, DAN is present on HitBTC with a trading volume of almost 100K/daily which is very important for such a token. Note that we have in mind to open other exchanges to our community, it is in our strategy. We are also aiming for a new index. It should be known that the price to be listed on a large trading platform is not negligible and that the choice in investment is quickly made, it turns out that developing a super product is our priority.
7) “How will you allow investors to follow the progress that is set out in the white paper and roadmap? Weekly updates? Or? What’s the plan there? As we all know an absence of new news or updates can negatively impact a idea! Communication from Admins to investors and the public is pivotal!”

8) “Will investors and the public be able to follow Github to see how the project is travelling? Will it be used?”

We will not make the source code of our artificial intelligence system available since we will market the service to our users,
Nevertheless, we will occasionally contribute development content related to the Blockchain and cryptos on our GitHub.

10) “Interesting project!!! Seems like Daneel group is hard at work. I just wanna know more about IBM+DANEEL partnership in detail. It seems to be a massive thing. Bought a load of under price DAN yesterday and I can see a bright future.”

11) “How do you manage to get pure information about other alt coins, I mean when someone wants to get knowledge about some other alt coin what will be your trusted sources to get information, I’m too much excited to know?”

All projects, from altcoins to ERC20 tokens, to ICOs, tend to communicate on their ‘official’ networks: blogs, social twitter, social networks, etc.
We will therefore take into consideration not only these networks, which we will consider as ‘reliable’. Additionally, we’ll also consider information related to this project that can be found across the web (articles, posts forum, social networks,…). All of the information is evaluated in terms of reliability and objectivity by our AI.
12) “When vote for exchange??”

As we have already said, we would like to make a vote to choose the next exchange together.
But if we never get listed on the most voted exchange, the community will think bad. Even if we meet the conditions to get listed on a big exchange, we will have to donate about $300,000 as a tip. This investment would jeopardize our product development.
We owe it to ourselves to listen to our community because it is thanks to you that we are where we are today, but we must plan our development over the long term in order to give you the best product possible.
13) “My question for the daneel team is when will this gem hit the exchanges and is there a working service or a product that confines with this ICO”

Daneel’s already available on an exchange. You can currently find it on the HitBTC platform, against BTC. We are consulting other exchanges and indexes to give Daneel an even greater visibility. The product is also under development, once it is available, we can offer the service.
14) “Please provide the complete list of features which you have prioritised first.”

We will soon make a detailed communication about the product roadmap, and details about the Daneel application, but here is a summary of the “core” features that we will develop first :
- Collection of data from official sources / general sources: social networks, crypto news sites, general news sites, forums, influencers,…
- Data analysis — A.I system: data crossing, analysis of emotions, feelings, statistics
- Conversational assistant: get the information by asking Daneel the question (ex: What is the general feeling about the #DOGE?)
15) “Please provide clarification on how the tokens will be spent on access to Daneel features and also what will be the different types of memberships.”

Initially, the tokens will be usable on the web platform to recharge a Daneel account in DAN tokens, then subscribe to a subscription (monthly).
The different types of subscriptions will be presented in the coming weeks.
Later on, the tokens will be usable within the application itself to: obtaining in-depth analyses, propose content to the A.I system (analyze a new article, a new source), interact with other users, vote and participate in the collective confidence score of a source / article. This system will allow you to spend / earn DAN tokens depending on the relevance of the data sent.
16) “Please showcase your current team in details and who is responsible for what.”
- Joseph Bedminster: CEO and Founder, he is in charge of the company and its organisation. He is working on all fronts but mainly on the product development leadership.
- Fabien Ducoudray: Global Brand Director, he promotes Daneel through various events and business partnerships. He also manages Daneel’s marketing strategy and private & public relations.
- Harold Kinet: Head of Communication, responsible for all official announcements, newsletters, events, CM management, strategy and partnerships.
- Julie Naudin: She is in charge of finding new partners for Daneel in his favourite field: Artificial Intelligence.
- Rangana Puchihewa : International Community Manager, he is our communication manager on our different networks (telegram, facebook, twitter…). He also manages a team of 7 guys (community managers, marketer, graphic designer) so as Daneel has the most effective communication possible.
- Selim Rinaz : He has been our CTO since Daneel’s creation. He advises and oversees the development of algorithms and the integration of Watson into Daneel.
- Thomas Rolland : Lead developer, he is the first person to develop the algorithms and coordinate the actions of two other developers. He has an overall vision of the product and the actions to be taken.
- And we have also two other developers working as freelancers: A mobile application developer and a python/tensorflow learning machine developer.
