Live a Healthy Lifestyle and Avoid the Medical and Insurance Bureaucracies

Some people feel that living a healthy lifestyle is too much of a hassle. You must:

1. Avoid eating too much food, especially those tasty foods laced with sugar, salt, and fat.

2. Exercise consistently.

3. Get enough sleep.

4. Learn how to deal effectively with stress.

Ujjwai Arora said simply:

“I Will Eat Clean,
I Will Train Mean,
I Will Look Lean.”

Elizabeth Rudnick said, “Time to start getting more sleep. This beautiful physique needs royal treatment.”

Mark Black said, “Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax.”

These are the ways to view a healthy lifestyle. Such a lifestyle will limit your involvement with the medical and insurance bureaucracies. Too much of such involvement can:

1. Become quite expensive.

2. Take up too much of your time.

3. Become frustrating when, for example, phone tree messages make you wait while you listen to messages such as, “Your phone call is very important to us…”

Poor health can lead to body pain. Such pain can lead to bad moods. Such bad moods can lead to bad relationships with significant others in your life.

Missing too much work due to poor health will not help your career. Especially for those who have no sick day allowances at work, or for those who have exceeded their allowed number of sick days. In these cases, poor health can cause financial hardship.

When people are young, they can do many unhealthy things to their bodies without any immediate consequences. As they age, however, the cumulative effects of their unhealthy living become more apparent and distressing. Even for those people who have lived an unhealthy lifestyle for many years, it never is, however, too late to improve their health at least somewhat.
