What is SEO Page Performance Evolution?

The Page Performance Evolution metric shows in what place of the Google Search Console Performance Table a specific page ranks by amount of clicks.

For instance, the highlighted page ranks #2 in terms of “pages with most clicks for a specific date”.

If we want to see how this page performs over time, we use the Page Performance Evolution metric.

What can we learn from the Page Performance Evolution?

This metric allows you to track the progress of a specific content compared to all the other content of the page.

If you optimized a specific page for SEO and want to see how it’s doing in terms of clicks compared to the rest of the site’s content, this is were you’d look.

How to get Page Performance Evolution Data

As always, I recommend using Google Search Console’s API with Python. A not-so-efficient workaround would be manually extracting the numbers date by date.
