I wrote a book during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic to chronicle my personal finance journey. After some hesitation, I stowed it away in my figurative and literal drawer until 2021 where I then finished, edited, and self-published the book on Amazon. Recently, I made the decision to make it publicly available for anyone and everyone to read. As of this update in 2024, we are living in some uncertain times and the need for knowledge in personal finance is at its highest. Personal finance is not taught in our current education system, and it is a detriment to both our economy and to society. With a bit of education on personal finance, I believe we would be able to spur so much economic growth in our country and prevent future financial disasters.
I am so happy that you are reading this and have decided to read about my personal finance experiences and journeys and all the articles to come, but please, please, please do your homework and do your own research. The book I wrote and the articles to come are not meant to be lectures nor is it meant to brag about my successes. The book is meant to outline my personal finance journey and to facilitate the conversation around personal finances and have you — the reader — question my ideas and thoughts which will help you to make your own decisions and drive your own financial successes. This small book — that I’ll release in chapters weekly — is also meant to serve as a quick one-stop shop for your financial questions. My personal finance education was sporadic and decentralized. I scoured through Investopedia articles, YouTube videos, and podcasts among various other mediums to learn what I know today. I am using the knowledge that I took away from these several years of learning and reading to give you what I know in one small book.
