A Significant Milestone: Launch of Dmail Beta Network

We extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support towards the Dmail Network. Today, we are thrilled to share an exciting update with you: the official launch of the Dmail beta network is set for June 1st. This marks a significant milestone in our journey as the pioneers of decentralized Web 3.0 communication.

As the first-ever Web 3.0 encrypted mailbox entirely built on blockchain and distributed storage technology, Dmail stands at the forefront of asset management and data storage in the Web 3.0 era. By leveraging DID and on-chain information exchange protocols, Dmail seamlessly connects the information path between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. Through our easy-to-use, low-cost, high-frequency mailbox application, we’re making it simpler than ever for Web 2.0 users to transition into the Web 3.0 community. Our mission is to make Dmail the first-choice app for users venturing into the world of Web 3.0.

Back in October 2021, we launched our first Demo product. Following this, Dmail won the Dfinity-track championship in the Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon, a competition supported by Dfinity official grant. Since then, we have attracted over 14,000 NFT mailbox users through two pre-sale events. On April 2, 2022, Dmail was successfully shortlisted for IC Bootcamp. Today, we’re proud to officially introduce the Beta version of Dmail to our users.

Features of the Beta Network Launch

• Cross-communication: With Dmail, you’ll be able to interact with any mailbox, ensuring seamless communication across Web 3.0 and Web 2.0 emails. This compatibility allows users to send and receive emails from any service provider.
• Login: We’re introducing support for Plug and Internet Identity login.
• Personalization: Users will be able to view their NFT domain accounts within their Dmail account settings and select one to bind with PID as their unique mailbox domain account.
• Draft Management: Dmail will support temporary saving of unsent drafts and allow users to view sent emails in the outbox. Users will even be able to edit emails after sending.
• Autosave: Frequently used contacts and addresses will be automatically saved.
• Enhanced Security: Double verification of account and identity will be implemented for first-time interactions with Dmail.
• Storage: Basic storage space of 200MB will be provided, allowing users to send up to 20 emails daily with text, picture, audio, and video attachments.
• Attachments: Outgoing mail attachments can be up to 3MB. Please note that we currently don’t support attachment downloads of 3MB and above.
• User Interface: We’re enhancing the overall user interface and functionality, enabling batch operations, marking important conversations, flagging spam, and more.

Moving forward, Dmail will continue to improve upon the features of the mailbox and promote the development of underlying smart contracts, as well as email encryption & decryption technologies. With the Beta network as our foundation, we aim to provide our users with a gateway to explore the Web 3.0 era.
