Taplink used as a Koji alternative

As you know, at the end of last year, Koji announced that Linktree acquired them. And soon, all the withkoji pages will be deactivated.

I’ve been using the service for quite some time and always loved it. But because I would never switch to Linktree with its lack of features and pricy subscription, I started to look for a koji alternative.

And I think I found a really good one — Taplink!

My Favorite Koji Alternative

When I was searching for an alternative to Koji, I was looking for the same features that made withkoji so powerful:

  1. Customization. I want to be able to customize every aspect of my page.
  2. Content. I want to add not only links but also images, videos, and music.
  3. Monetization. I want to make money with my page.
  4. Business features. I want to have analytics and business apps to enhance my page.
  5. Reasonable price. I want to pay little and have a free trial to check out the app before spending any money.

The only tool that fulfilled all 5 was Taplink, and that’s exactly why I chose it as my favorite withkoji alternative.

Customization

Taplink has a library of pre-designed themes and templates that can be used as a base for your page. Themes are simplistic colorful designes and templates are niche-specific landing pages with demo content. Because of these, I created my first page in like 15 minutes.

I was also able to customize every part of my landing page. I changed fonts, colors, background images, and shapes, plus added some shadows to my links.

Overall, I made almost an exact copy of my old koji page. I know I would not be able to do it with Linktree, but that’s exactly what I needed from an alternative.

Taplink pages

Content

Content is definitely the strongest feature of this Koji alternative.

Taplink has 19 content blocks, from a simple link button to an opt-in form with payments. I was also able to add to my page:

  • text description of my business
  • smart links to my messengers for people to contact me
  • reviews using an image slider
  • videos and a Spotify playlist of my podcast

The fact that I was able to add my old lead magnet using a Form block is nice, too. Now, I can collect leads right on my page and work with them in the CRM system Taplink has.

Monetization

With Koji, my main income source was selling digital products on my page. That’s why the most important thing for me when I was looking for Koji alternatives was the ability to sell digital products with ease.

Taplink has a specific feature dedicated to selling digital products. With it, you can simply upload your product (or add links to it), fill in the image, name, and description, set the price, choose a payment provider (there are like 50 of them), and start selling right away. Just like Koji, Taplink delivers your products to the customer right after payment, so the whole process is automated. I already made a couple of sales even.

Note that, unlike Koji, Taplink doesn’t charge any fee when you sell products, but you have to pay for a monthly subscription to be able to sell. Read on to learn about Taplink’s pricing.

Business Features

Koji was always praised for its powerful analytics, and when I was searching for Koji alternatives, it was hard to find something similar to it. But I think Taplink is as close as it gets.

First, the tool provides statistics on visitors. You can see how many people visit your page every day, every week, or every month.

Second, Taplink has a link analytics. With it, you can always see how many people clicked on each link and learn what links and CTAs work best.

As an add-on, you can connect specialized analytics tools (like Google.Analytics) to your page and monitor even more professional metrics.

Speaking of add-ons, this withkoji alternative also has add-ons in different fields:

  • Email marketing: MailChimp, Active Campaign, GetResponce, etc.
  • Advertising: Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, SnapChat Pixel, etc.

Pricing

While using Koji was free, you had to pay a commission for every sale you made. Taplink has a different pricing system.

This Koji alternative has 3 plans:

  1. Basic (Free)
  2. Pro ($3/month)
  3. Business ($6/month)
Taplink’s pricing

Here’s how you can choose the best one for you:

Choose Basic if you want an attractive but simple Link In Bio page for your links.

Choose Pro if you want to make a modern landing page for social media with media content and smart links to your social media and messaging apps.

Choose Business if you’re a professional who requires a website with the capability to monetize your content and sell products.

Oh, and Taplink also has a 7-day free trial. I recommend using it to see if the tool is the right withkoji alternative for you.

I also found a discount promo code: ROBERT2024. It worked for me on January 30 and gave me a 10% discount for the Business plan. I’m not sure it’ll work in the future, but give it a try!

As you can see, Taplink, as an alternative to Koji, meets all the requirements you might need when switching from a closing tool.

What do you think? What did you choose from all the koji alternatives available? Let me know in the replies!
