Why I’ll NEVER Work A 9–5 Job Ever Again… Quit after 6 months

When I was working a 9–5 my life was eat, work, gym, eat, sleep — repeat.

I felt depressed and programmed. Most of the days I just wanted to go home watch TV and fall asleep. I did go out with friends and co-workers, but I asked myself is this really what I want? Can I see myself doing this for the next 5–10 years?

I wanted more for myself and didn't want to continue feeling like this.

Starting Off

I worked as an Insurance Sales Agent. It was commission based with benefits, PTO, paid holidays, and annual bonuses. If you could make 3–4 sales a week, you were definitely bringing money in.

Not going to lie, I had a good position with great benefits. I just wanted more for my life as far as excitement and adventure.

I decided I wanted to make a change and try doing something different. After I got off work instead of watching TV; I would research successful people and take notes on what they did to get to where they are.

I found that most of them achieved their success by building a business, investing, or they did both.

The Change

During that six months, I decided to take action. I would continue to go to work, but secretly plan my leave. On my free time I read a lot of books, enrolled in courses, listened to podcasts, and joined masterminds.

I knew I wasn’t going to get anywhere just sitting around with the information in my head. I had to do something about it.

So, I quit my job last month.

I started investing in Stocks and working on buying my first rental property.
