Doug Fabick’s Product Reviews

Product Review #2 — Mini Excavators 300.9D VPS & HPU300

Caterpillar Inc., popularly called CAT, is the world’s largest construction-equipment manufacturer. It designs, develops, engineers, manufactures, markets, and sells machinery, engines, financial products, and insurance to customers via a worldwide dealer network. Fabick Cat, the company I run, is a proud member of this network.

As you may have read in my previous medium post, Caterpillar divides its products, services, and technologies into three principal lines of business: machinery, engines, and financial products for sale to private and governmental entities. My blog will be dedicated to reviewing machinery, our main selling focus at Fabick Cat. There are approximately 400 Caterpillar products available through its dealer network, including tracked tractors, hydraulic excavators, backhoe loaders, motor graders, off-highway trucks, wheel loaders, agricultural tractors, and locomotives. Caterpillar’s large variety of equipment is used in different industries, including construction, roadbuilding, mining, forestry, energy, transportation, and material-handling.

In this second medium blog post, we will review the Mini Excavators 300.9D VPS & HPU300. The greatest advantage this type of product offers is its compact size, making it an excellent machine for indoor demolition work. It includes easy retraction, controlled from the operator’s seat, which enables the machine to pass through narrow openings. In addition, it features Dual Mode Selection for a choice of diesel or electric power, and it comes with an extra range of tools available. All tools are matched to the machine to optimize performance and deliver excellent value through high productivity and long life. It has a net power of 13 HP, an operating weight of 2399 pounds and a digging depth of 68 inches.

In sum, these characteristics led up to three main benefits: (1) compact size, allowing work in tight areas; (2) user-friendly system, including simple controls for easy operation; and (3) versatility, including a range of attachments for a variety of applications.

This is a great line of products that we are proud to resell at our company. I’ll be happy to assist you with questions about this and other construction equipment and machinery.
