Continuing the series on how to make the best build, in Part 2 we will discuss the finishing touches to keep in mind when making a build in Magic Survival. These other aspects could also give you extra time to survive on the battlefield.

Updated to the 0.923 version of the game.

What makes a good build great in Magic Survival? Don’t miss Part 1, where I mentioned the most important stats to improve.

Download Magic Survival here!

Besides the attack, critical rate/strike, and cooldown reduction stats, there are other important aspects of the game you have to consider. For example, gaining gold is important for buying research points, and the same goes with acquiring chests, since more artifacts mean the best in all aspects.

Don’t know what research points or artifacts are? This guide could help.

Anyway, let’s start with one of my favorite alternative builds, since this is probably one of the most important, along with the basic stats:

1. Reduce Enemies’ Lives and Instant Kill Them

Sometimes more attack is not always the best option if your enemy is constantly upgrading their resistance. Critical strike and hit rate could save us, but sometimes we don’t have enough in our stats. And even if we have enough, at the end of the game, it feels like going against a really tough current. But with this build, you have the option of turning off the faucet, at least for a little bit.

Magic:

Armageddon
  • Armageddon: This power erases all enemies, but you won’t get any mana bits if you kill them with it. Still, this is one of the best magics in the game, as it is very useful for buying time while you run away. All the talents of this magic are really useful.

Special (Magic):

Curse / Priest / Eldritch
  • Curse: Decrease the max HP of all enemies by 6%.
  • Priest: Decrease the max HP of all enemies by 3%. Increase HP regen per sec. by 0.3%.
  • Eldritch: Decrease the max HP of elite monsters by 10%.

Artifacts:

First row: Sample / Mutagen / Exorcism / Death Bell / Toy Castle / Peace Treaty — — — — — — — — — — — — — Second Row: Basilisk / Roster / Magic Sword / Genome Map / Reaper’s Scythe / Holy Chest

Normal:

  • Sample: All enemies’ max. HP reduces by 3%.

Rare:

  • Mutagen: 8% chance for enemies to appear with 30% less max. HP and size.

Epic:

  • Exorcism: Max. HP of all enemies is reduced by 3%. Increase mana acquisition from killing enemies by 20%.

Special:

  • Death’s Bell: All enemies near the character disappear (cooldown: 30 sec.).
  • Toy Castle: All enemies’ Size reduces by 22%. All enemies’ HP reduces by 11%.
  • Peace Treaty: Decrease the number of enemies by 15%. After obtaining it, increase the gold acquisition by 10%.
  • Basilisk: The maximum health of elite monsters decreases by 20%.
  • Roster: After killing 100 enemies, any damage dealt to the next 50 instakills them.

Legendary:

  • Magic Sword: Instakill an enemy whose HP is lower than 20%.
  • Genome Map: All enemies’ max. HP reduces by 20%.
  • Reaper’s Scythe: 8% chance to instakill an enemy when dealing damage to it for the first time. Decrease the max. HP of all enemies by 8%.
  • Holy Chest: All enemies’ HP decreases by 10%. A random rune effect is activated (cooldown: 45 sec.).

2. Increase Magic & Magic Combination Damage and Number

You may be asking what the difference is between attack and magic damage, and to be honest, I don’t fully understand what it is. The basic attack stat affects everything, as magic is the only form of attack in Magic Survival.

Magic damage alone could work (but I’m not entirely sure) as an amplified attack. I think it works similarly because if you increase magic damage without increasing the base attack stat, it wouldn’t be enough to contain the monster hordes in the mid- to late-game.

However, even if basic attack is superior, magic damage is a good secondary option for increasing damage, especially the magic combination damage.

Class:

Archmage
  • Archmage: As a starting ability, it increases combination magic damage by 20%, and in Mastery Level 3, it increases again by 20%.

Magic Combination:

Gate of Creation
  • Gate of Creation: Gain two more magic combination chances. Amplify the attack by 25%.

Special (Magic):

Chakra
  • Chakra: All magic damage increased by 20%.

Artifacts:

Enchant / Dragontongue / Halo / Creation / Overmind / Domain of Power

Rare:

  • Enchant: Increase all magic damage by 15%.

Special:

  • Dragontongue: Increase combination magic damage by 40%.
  • Halo: Increase all magic damage by 30%.

Legendary:

  • Creation: Every 5th cast of a spell reducxes ist cooldown by half. Increase all magic damage by 50%.
  • Overmind: Increase magic damage by 100% for all max-level magic.
  • Domain of Power: Gain 1 more magic combination chance, but increase all magic cooldown by 12%.

3. Micro-Builds for Every Magic

There are builds that affect all magic in Magic Survival, some more directly than others. Choose at least three magics, and then artifacts and magic combinations that improve your performance on the battlefield. You could have a main magic if you choose a specific subject or class. Below is an example of an (incomplete) build created specifically for Satellite:

Satellite
Subject: Astronomer / Class: Astronomer / Artifact: Circular Sawblade / Magic combination: Hyperion

There is one more magic combination and more artifacts, but you get the point. This would be a very long article if I listed all the builds for every magic in Magic Survival, so you’ll have to figure out the rest on your own.

4. More Treasures Chests!

Artifacts are half of your strategy in Magic Survival. They are crucial for improving magic, especially in the mid- and late-game. Fortunately, this build exists for the purpose of acquiring more treasure chests on the battlefield.

Subject:

Archaeologist
  • Archaeologist: Increase item pickup range by 5% (all classes) + Mimic artifact.

Research:

I’m not 100% sure if “Luck” also increases the chest creation rate, but I’m putting it here anyway.

Luck / Loot
  • Luck: Field items are created (10% | 15% | 20% | 25%) more often.
  • Loot: Treasure chests are created (5% | 8% | 11% | 14% | 17% | 20%) more frequently.

Class:

Archaeologist
  • Archaeologist: Starting ability: Magic Bolt Lv+1, and a treasure chest is created for every 15 character levels. In Mastery Level 3, treasure chests are created 10% more frequently.

Special (Magic):

Noblesse
  • Noblesse: Create 1 treasure chest nearby.

Artifacts:

Treasure Map / Golden Roulette / Opulence

Special:

  • Treasure Map: 2 treasure chests are created at a random location. The item acquisition radius increases by 30%.
  • Golden Roulette: Obtain 1 random legendary artifact.

Legendary:

  • Opulence: Create 4 treasure chests nearby.

5. Level Up Quickly, Get Free Magic, and Go Beyond Level 100

What is the maximum level in Magic Survival?

Your subject’s maximum magic, skill, or special level in Magic Survival is level 100. After this level, only growth skills can be obtained.

If you don’t know what growth skills are, you can click here.

The more you can expand that level, the more magic you can evolve. Additionally, you can also get free magic without needing to level up, although randomly.

Having a high mana gain rate is crucial for you to evolve faster, as we discussed in the previous part of this series. Here I will list other ways to evolve quickly.

Class:

Scholar
  • Scholar: Startgin ability: Increase starting level by 3. Increase all magic damage by 1% for every 3 character levels. Mastery Level 1: Doctor Lv 1 (special magic).

Special (Magic):

Doctor
  • Doctor: Maximum level increases by 3.

Stage:

  • Academy: You begin this stage at level 10.

Artifacts:

Tarot Card / Cube / AI Magic / Akashic Record

Epic:

  • Tarot Card: Learn 3 random magic.

Special:

  • Cube: Increase the level of all skills by 1.
  • AI Magic: Acquire 5 random magics. All magic cooldown reduced by -5%.

Legendary:

  • Akashic Records: Attack power is amplified by 1% per current level 5; the current level and maximum level increase by 5.

6. More Gold!

We have two types of currency in the game: gold and crystals. You get both by finishing a game. With crystals, you can buy research cards in the Shop to improve classes or acquire new subjects, while gold is necessary to buy research points in Research.

These points improve all aspects of your magic, including the basic axis (attack, critical, and cooldown), among other things like magic size, damage resistance, mana acquisition, etc.

The longer you survive, the more gold and crystals you will earn. However, you can increase your gold gain with this build. For now, there is no way to earn additional crystals.

Research:

Luck
  • Luck: Field items are created (10% | 15% | 20% | 25%) more often. This is so that the cells appear more frequently.
Cells

If you don’t remember what they are, the cells give you gold when you pick them up. They come in three colors: the aquamarine, which usually gives you between 200 and 400; the pink, between 2000 and 4000; and the black, around 30,000.

Artifacts:

Mimic / Space-Time Circuit / Peace Treaty

Rare:

  • Mimic: Upon acquiring a treasure box, cause an explosion to kill enemies. Creates 10 random items nearby.

Special:

  • Space-Time Circuit: Time flows 24% faster. After obtaining, increase gold acquisition by 24%.
  • Peace Treaty: Decrease the number of enemies by 15%. After obtaining it, increase the gold acquisition by 10%.

And that’s all, folks!

For now, these are the builds that I hope have been useful to you. You never know what is going to happen in the future, since the game is constantly evolving and changing. See you on the next adventure. Bye bye!, XO XO.
