Are you familiar with the fable of the tortoise and the hare, where the tortoise wins due to its steady progress, while the hare loses because of its arrogance and laziness. If you look at people’s lives, it’s often a reflection of this story. Many people resemble the tortoise, and many resemble the hare. You might wonder, "What am I saying? Am I going mad?" But no, let’s break down the story.

The tortoise's character teaches us many things, such as consistency, discipline, and working in a focused direction. It doesn't matter how small your progress is; the only thing that matters is that you are making progress. On the other hand, the hare's character teaches us what we shouldn't be: egotistical, lazy, and unfocused.

If life is a race, let’s be honest: most of us are probably are the hare. We sprint out of the gate with grand plans, then get distracted by shiny things and wonder why we aren’t winning. Meanwhile, the tortoises of the world are quietly making progress, one step at a time, while we’re still figuring out which show to binge next. So, maybe it’s time we take a page out of the tortoise’s book. Not because we’re slow (okay, maybe a little), but because sometimes, the race isn’t about who finishes first—it’s about who finishes well. And who knows? Maybe one day, we’ll cross the finish line, and the tortoise will give us a knowing nod, as if to say, “Told you so.”So let’s embrace the pace, and give it a go,

Life’s a marathon, not a show.
Keep moving forward, no matter how small,
Because in the end, that’s the best lesson of all.

That’s for today.
