Galactic Council Considers Earth’s Fate Pt. 2

--

Riki the Reptoid and Arctur the Arcturian punched their soma orders into the holographic menu at a corner table with a window looking over Andromeda.

“Arctur, I thought we were friends. Why are you embarrassing me before the Galactic Council? Earth means nothing to you.”

“I have nothing but love, Riki. We’ve had some good times. Remember those two chicks from F@#$? I like the excitement of a shape-shifting non-binary and you prefer a submissive sex slave and we had plenty of both on that planet.”

The two toasted as their soma drinks materialized.

Arctur continued. “But really, we might have to agree to disagree regarding this planet earth. Many people there are begging to evolve. They’re ready to join the galactic community. They’re ready to break their chains. I’m afraid there’s going to be a clash with disastrous consequences for the poor souls there, who can’t escape unless they achieve unity consciousness.”

“Look, Arctur. We built that civilization out of the ashes of Lemuria and literally parted the water. But there will be chaos if the earthlings think they can transition their economic system into one that is not bank centric. Chaos. And that’s just the start if we give our power to them, “ Riki reptoid-splained.

“Riki, I’m not suggesting that they are ready as a collective to make an ascension. But they may be closer than you think. And you know, they don’t need your permission to raise their consciousness. They are doing it steadily.”

“Well, most are not doing it and won’t be able to do it without a lot of help, which we’re not going to give.”

“Yes, that is unfortunate. It’s because you’ve tricked them with religion,” Arctur waived his finger.

“We civilized them, you mean. We have steadily developed them for thousands of years, and mostly without our direct intervention.”

Arctur looked into Riki’s slanted eyes. “And now they’re on the cusp of machine intelligence and quantum computing, and it will accelerate their development at speeds they may not be able to contain.”

Riki looked back into Arctur’s deep blue eyes. “Do you think these so-called evolved earthlings will be able to keep machine intelligence under their control, if they value Free Will so highly?”

“You raise a valid point, Riki. But your earthlings are not really under your control, are they? Be honest. You believe in authority and order but how’s that working out for you on earth? You really think your earthling hybrids are going to be able to handle machines that are more intelligent than they are? Like they handled coronavirus? They’re on the verge of chaos.”

The breathing gills on Riki’s face flared. “Yes, of course they will. We, I mean they, will control the intelligence and by that means control the entire population. And it will happen soon.”

“Nothing is preordained, in spite of your efforts. It’s all probability. Nobody wants to see a situation get out of hand.” Arctur slammed his empty vessel.
