Cryptobubbles flash campaigns are one of the highlights that Elrond gave to us this Q3 of 2019. Through these flash campaigns, it becomes the way to showcased the skills of players that stand-out above the rest. However, most of the flash campaigns regarding Cryptobubbles are not attainable by other players. For instance, it requires being in the top 30 of the tournament leader board to be eligible for the reward or it requires an outstanding performance just like being the top one in a game. Some may say that winning one game is simple, but in reality, playing Cryptobubbles is hard.

There are numerous reasons why someone cannot win on Cryptobubbles — but most of the time, the reason for not winning is because they are doing something wrong that is needed to be avoided in order for them to win a game.

1.Not Using Split Attack

The most important thing about this game is the ability to master and use a split attack. If all of the players in a game are experienced players, you cannot eat them by just moving your cursor. The smaller the bubble is, the faster the movement speed in the game and vice versa. That only implies that if you are going to eat a smaller bubble, your movement speed is slower than that bubble. So how would you eat that bubble? You need to use the split attack if you know and confident that your score in the game is more than 1/2 of his score.

2. Using Split Attack Many Times

If a non-usage of split attack is a thing to be avoided and can bring detrimental results, excessive usage of it is a wrong thing to do too. As of me, I limit my usage of split attacks to only two times (up to 4 bubbles). Three times using it is a rare thing for me to do and I only use that if I needed to badly catch-up with scores. Basically, the main idea behind this is that if you use split attack many times, a player, even if he has a smaller score than you can eat you easily.

For you to understand more, let’s say that your score in the game is your power. If you have a power of 800 and you use split attack three times, each bubble will have a power of 100. (Each split attack will make each of your bubbles current score into half. So, 800/2 = 400 power for each bubble at the first split attack, 400/2 = 200 power for each 4 of your bubbles for the second split attack, and 200/2 = 100 power for each 8 of your bubbles for the third split attack.) If player B has 300 power, he can outpower you even if he uses split attack only once (300/2 =150 for each bubble). Thus, though having greater power to him by 500, you can still lose to him by using split attack excessively.

3. Goes to the Corner When Being Chased.

Being Eaten in the Corner

If you are relatively smaller than your opponent and that player chase you, don’t ever go to the corners of the battlefield. Remember my tip in number one. If a bubble is bigger than you, that means he is slower than you. So what you should do is stay in the middle, because if the player who chases you is an experienced player, he will not continue chasing you, for he knows that nothing will happen. (Note that this only applies when the score of the player chasing is not that far on your score — meaning he can’t use the split attack to eat you.)

4. Lack of Awareness

If you are playing for fun, it is fine that you are not aware of different things such as time, score, and the battlefield of the game when playing the game. However, if you want to be a great player, you should know that lack of awareness leads to losing a game.

4.1 Time — If you are not aware of the time, you will not know when to aggressively use split attack to catch-up with points. You will not know too when to do game-winning eats that will shock the current number one of the leader board if you are not aware of the time too. Time is a major component of you too to win this game, and you should be aware of it all the time.

In game leader board — the remaining time is below

4.2 Leader board — Sometimes, looking solely on the bubbles makes you unsure what is the current score of the player and it is unreliable if you just look at it and guess that you are bigger than him even if you split. That’s why there is a leader board in the game. If the player belongs on the top 10, you can see his current score, and you will then know if you are capable of eating him by chasing or by splitting.

Battlefield of the Game — The blue circle is where are you located at the map

4.3 Battlefield — It is the map of the game where players can control their bubble. This goes with my tip in number 3. If you are not aware where is your current place in the battlefield, you will be surprised that you are in the corner already — cannot move and will be eaten soon if you are being chased. Be careful and be aware on where you are in the map to increase the chances of winning the game.

5. Not Giving Attention to Spikes

Spike in the Game

Many players don’t know what spikes are for. The reason behind that is because in the early stage of the game, spikes don’t have any use. (Well, you can hide on it, but it is not a great thing since you need to continuously move around the battlefield in order to win the game.) In the late stage of the game, when the bubble is already bigger than the spike, the score of the bubble that moved to the spike will be halved. So if you have 2 bubbles currently with 500 scores each, the bubble that moved to the spike will become 2. You will currently have 3 bubbles with 500, 250,250 scores in each.

So when do problems arises in relation with to spikes?

5.1 Chasing bubbles and moving into a spike

Chasing a Smaller Enemy then Accidentally Moving into a Spike

If you have a score of 500, and your enemy has a score of 400, you can eat him by chasing, yet, not by using split attack. If there is a spike in the path and you moved towards it, your bubble will automatically split, and the other half of your bubble will be launch to your enemy. Since 400 is greater than 250, the enemy will be having a total of 650 score and he can split to eat you too since 325 is greater than 250 — and you lose due to the spike.

5.2 Splitting off and then landing into a spike

1/2 * 1/4 * 1/4

Disaster might happen if you don’t give attention to the spikes. For example, you have a score of 1,000 and your enemy has a score of 350. If you split, you can easily get points since 500 is greater than 350. Yet, if you split with a spike on your path, the bubble that is going towards the enemy would be half — resulting in you to have bubbles with 500, 250, and 250 scores. Since his score is 350, the 250 score bubble that launch to him will be his score — having a total of 600 points. And he can split again too to eat your other bubble — and again, tremendous things happen because of spikes.

That’s for what are you doing wrong article guys — now you know what not to do when playing this awesome game! If you don’t have any luck winning on Cryptobubbles.io, I hope my article helps you. Cheers!
