Earn Money Passively By Making Designs As a Programmer— Print On Demand
There are countless ways for a programmer to make money by coding. There are other ways though, that don’t require programming!
One of them is Print On Demand! You can create designs that don’t even require you to have artistic skills! The design can consist of just a slogan or a funny quote! The designs can be put on T-Shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, stickers, and a lot more things.

This is an overview of this method! I am not saying it’s the best, it’s just different and I thought some of you would be interested in learning about it.
This covers the most important information, but there are small details that I am not going to go over.

What is Print On Demand (POD)?
Print on demand is a process where you upload a design, which on order by a buyer is being printed on a set-by-you product. You are paid a commission per every order.
What’s the difference between a Print On Demand Site and a Print On Demand Company? Which one should you choose?
A POD site is a place where people list art and a place where people buy products, it drives traffic to your art when you list it there.
A POD company on the other hand lets you list your designs on your own website where you have to drive traffic to it yourself.
It should be noted though that with a POD company you can scale your earnings to a lot more than you can with a POD site.
As for which one you should choose — whichever one you feel more comfortable with. If you don’t want to set up your own website and drive traffic to it you should choose a POD site.
Whereas if you want to have your own website, customize it, and have your designs listed there you should choose a POD company.
The best part is that nothing is stopping you from setting up both of them or changing from one to the other. You have complete freedom to do whatever you want.
How can you make your design?
There are a lot of ways to create your designs but I would say the simplest and in our case the best is Canva. It is extremely easy and it has everything you need to make simple yet profitable designs like these:

When making a design with Canva I advise you to create it 4573px by 3125px.
You need Canva premium to make a transparent design. (You can get a 30-day free trial, which is enough to produce a good amount of designs)
If you are using another platform use 9075px by 6201px.

You have to connect your POD company to a web marketplace. Good examples are Etsy and Shopify.
Something great about POD sites is that when you make one design you can upload it to all of them!
There are a lot more POD sites and companies where you can list and upload your designs but these are the best ones.
What I like about this way of earning passive income as a programmer is that it’s very unique. As a person with coding knowledge, you can earn money from the POD industry without having any artistic skills. It’s amazing!
