Aimly Partners with ‘With God’s Grace’ To Give Back to The Community
Using Aimly to raise money for your cause, non-profit, or organization is one of the easiest ways to hit your fundraising goals but that’s not the only way Aimly is dedicated to making a difference. Your supporters have two options to support your fundraiser: Buying gourmet chips or donating directly. When they donate directly, Aimly gives one free bag of chips to a non-profit food pantry in the Ohio area. It’s another way Aimly gives back to the community and another great reason to start a fundraiser with Aimly today.
This quarter, Aimly made its first large donation to an organization called With God’s Grace which operates a food pantry in Dayton, Ohio. With God’s Grace is a life-saver for families who need food for their kids, and with one-in-seven families in Ohio experiencing hunger, it’s a vital source of support for the community. The story behind With God’s Grace is the story of one woman’s experience with food insecurity coming full circle; a time of hardship transformed into strength for thousands of families.

With God’s Grace
When Nicole Adkins woke up on a day in 1999, she knew she needed to find food to feed her kids. According to the USDA, more than 10 percent of American families experience food insecurity every year and hardship forced her into a place where she had to turn to a food pantry to make sure her children would eat that day.
One can imagine how surprising and disappointing it must have been to arrive at her local food pantry only to be turned away. Desperate times called for desperate measures and Nicole had to make extreme sacrifices to feed her family. “I went eight months eating one meal every third day,” she told WHIO-TV in 2021.
Fast-forward a few years and her family was on more stable ground with Nicole becoming a business owner. Nicole was part of an extreme-couponing group where members share coupons in order to save as much money as possible. The group had a shopping event and realized they’d overbought, so they partnered with a local church to donate the rest of their things. Seeing the needs of her community, she decided to start a mobile pantry and immediately began seeing just how serious those needs were.
“One day in negative 10-degree weather the mobile pantry was handing out Domino’s pizza when a young girl came by who didn’t have a hat, gloves, or a coat. She hadn’t eaten anything for days and couldn’t believe we were just handing out pizza.” This experience was extremely impactful for Nicole. “At the end of the day, we went back home and sat around our kitchen table when we decided we were going to start a nonprofit.”
The last thing the new non-profit needed was a name. When a request came from a church saying, “With God’s Grace we will make it happen,” Nicole knew she had found a perfect fit.
With God’s Grace became an official nonprofit in March of 2016 and added a brick-and-mortar free grocery store in Dayton. This store operates year-round, allowing people to shop for their basic needs at no cost. With God’s Grace also partners with local shelters to distribute food, and their impact doesn’t just extend to food. With God’s Grace distributed 500 backpacks to children at the beginning of the 2022 school year, as well as school supplies for teachers who need assistance.
Aimly Partnership
Aimly is committed to positively impacting the communities in multiple ways, so it was thrilling to tally up our quarterly donations and see we’d be able to donate 8,000 bags of Plain’ It Cool chips. That meant dropping off 17 pallets of chips and serving 600–2k families in under 7 hours!
On January 27th, 2023, the GoAimly truck arrived at the With God’s Grace free grocery store. Unloading 17 pallets is no joke! Check out the pallet jack (a word I just learned) lifting all those chips.
Once the chips are stocked in the free store, they’ll be displayed on shelves like these ones! Families in need can come by this store and pick up the food, cooking supplies, and more that they need at literally no cost.
With so many families experiencing food scarcity every year, there’s no better time to donate to nonprofits like With God’s Grace today. You can find more information about With God’s Grace, such as where to find their free store and opportunities to volunteer on their website.
For the last word, we’d like to share a statement that With God’s Grace provided us.
“With God’s Grace provides to individuals and families in Montgomery, Greene, Preble. One of the programs that make With God’s Grace stand apart from other similar organizations is its mobile food service location. With God’s Grace is working hard to serve our community and help a growing number of families who are food insecure. Food insecure families are so limited in their resources to buy food that they are running out of food, reducing the quality of their food, cutting out meat, feeding their children unbalanced meals, or skipping meals so that their children can eat. Being able to bring the food into communities allows those who otherwise would not be able to travel to a local food bank. One of the main goals of With God’s Grace Mobile Food Pantry is to provide free food to those in need while working to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in Dayton, Ohio, and surrounding communities.”
Aimly will continue giving chips to food pantries every quarter thanks to your donations, so there’s never been a better time to start a fundraiser. Remember that every time one of your supporters donates directly to your cause, Aimly will give one bag of chips to a non-profit food pantry. The more successful your fundraiser is, the more we can give!
