My Background
- I have 5 years of experience as a web application backend engineer in Japan.
- I also have about 2 years of experience managing a small team of less than 5 people.
The Japanese definition of a backend engineer is being able to do all of the following: programming, architecting, infrastructure setup and management (on-premise and cloud, such as AWS), CICD pipeline setup and management, middleware management, testing, project management, project lead, negotiating with customers, managing project budgets. I can do these things.
